Thanks for the review, Mike. Great video! Very informative and helpful. My wife and I have been wanting to take a cruise down the Nile for quite some time now, and Viking seems like an excellent and classy choice. I am a huge fan of the modern feel the longships incorporate. I think we would definitely have to go with Oceania out on the high seas though. Definitely worth the higher price point. Oceania ships are just pure eye candy!

We have been on two Viking river cruises and will be taking the third cruise in December on the Viking Tor. Our first cruise was a Christmas market cruise on the Danube from Nuremberg to Budapest. The second cruise was in China, 28 days total. This December's cruise is another Christmas market trip on the Main from Nuremberg to Frankfurt. When on a Viking cruise you only touch your luggage when you leave home and return home. Viking thinks of everything. You only have to relax and enjoy the cruise. It is worry-free from the time your flight lands at the airport where your cruise begins, to the arrival at the airport at the end of your cruise. In 2017 we are going to take a Viking ocean cruise for the first time. We are trying to chose the itinerary now. I would recommend Viking to anyone who wants a hassle-free cruise. I can't think of one thing I would change or improve with Viking.
I've been determined to go on a viking cruise in a few years and am trying to convince my husband. The only concern I have is being stuck on the ship while seeing all the beautiful places pass me by and not being able to get off and explore HAHA...but it looks so amazing!

Did anybody notice the spirit level above the instrument panel? Oodles of money spent on instrumentation and navigation and ship handling but they forgot the inclinometers!

Viking NEVER, Don't do it. Worst time of my life : "City of Lights Viking Cruise" wifi never worked. Worst food i've ever had. Lousy Pinot noir wine if you want a decent Merlot you pay extra. Rude treatment guides were unintelligible. Hotel arrangement by Viking in Paris was a complete DUMP. Tile falling off the cealing and fixtures didn't work. A total waste of money. Viking...NEVER AGAIN
