there has never been a better more transparent interview with Amanda as this one. It's very clear she has an admiration and respect for DC. I hope to see him sit down with her again.
DC does it again. I feel like this was the most honest Amanda has been about why she left ATT. I love how DC makes everyone (but Tony lol) comfortable enough that we get a different side of them.

Becuz he has laid back approach and I find it makes the interviewees comfortable to open up more with no pressure and seems to be very reasonable in how he talks so those things go really good hand 2 hand
Ahead of your rematch with Jon Jones when he tested positive again and fight was cancelled, you said to Dana that you still want to fight him even if he is on steroids. It just shows what type of competitor you are and it shows that you are the true champion always!
This is the most honest she has been in an interview. Especially about the fight and what she was feeling and thinking

There’s a moment in DC interviews when it goes from an interview to two fighters just geeking out shooting the shit. they’re so comfortable w him because he gets it
DC has come along way. I love this style of interview. A former fighter thats very intelligent , improving his craft at journalism and being able to really get the honest answers from fighters. Only someone with their experience can make real fighter interviews magic.
Colby also left them same coaches. If you listen to the corner advice given in the first Usman fight the head coach just told him to take deep breathes. Offered no advice or adjustments. I’m not even a Colby guy but I noticed how weird that was. Makes sense why she would make the switch
That frustrates me to see corners who do that because you hear DC and Joe point out obvious adjustments between rounds.

DC, in a context he can define for himself, is one of the greatest MMA interviewers. For real. This is the most I've ever felt like I understood who Amanda is as a person
DC is just gonna keep moving up. I feel like he’s gonna be the owner of a big corporation or something in the next 10 years. Dudes got 6 jobs and still manages to be energetic and find ways to improve
Maybe get some shares in UFC or something. I can see that. I think he is going to take over Hollywood. He is doing a mma drama TV show. I will efinately watch that. I love when the actors can actually fight.

It's awesome how fluent Amanda has become in English. While I don't think anyone should feel any obligation to learn it, because of the fact it's one of the most common languages, it's nice seeing more fighters learning it and being able to converse easily and without the translator. Ngannou's another one like this.
Especially if she lives in US.When you come to some country to live there at least you can do is learn a language.
@@serbianwarrior385 Yes absolutely. You'd have thought if absolutely nothing else, that people would do it to make their lives easier. I'd say it's...I suppose a bit more understandable if you have a a person from an older generation who has moved with the family to a new country and rarely, if ever goes out of the house, meaning they're in their small world of culture. But people who go out into this new area? Yeah, learn the language, for you and the people around you.

I am a huge Amanda fan , but I have to say Nina’s a G. It’s hard to hear sometimes, but nothing compares to having a straight shooter in your corner. When all the chips are down you have to listen to your ride or die.
Amanda looked absolutely shredded and focused. Champ Champ is back on top.

At times I've honestly felt like Amanda gave her a charity win. Knowing that Julianna is a mother also she wanted to change her life and took that L in order to do so. Now she's here to show the world again exactly who she is!!!
I don't think so. Pena is tough as nails & Amanda could've had a bad night too. Entirely possible. Rematch is ideal to find out. It may not have been pretty but Pena has taken out some ppl she wasn't expected to kinda like Diaz boys do. Also very possible Amanda had a rough night. I don't like taking the win from Pena or shitting on Amanda so let's see Saturday.
@@aisforannihilation1662 Me either at all. I like both fighters . The only concern I had was how fast Amanda tapped. It just seemed heartless instead of a lioness. Could just be a trilogy in the making . We'll all find out Saturday one way or another. I love Pena's unwavering confidence but if you really go back and watch the 1st fight it felt like it had more to do with Nunes's lack of preparation than Pena's skills. Again we will see saturday
@@jjakfamily yeah she definitely seemed off. I would assume it was a combination of being surprised by Pena's durability & fearlessness & Amanda's lack of preparation & readiness.
I think the barrages, intensity etc tired her along with not feeling up to her usual fierceness as we've seen her get rocked & rather overwhelmed by GDR whose striking was superior but Amanda was able to rely on her ground game & take control back there which is why I tend to believe she was feeling off that night with Pena. The upside for Pena is her ground game is far better than GDR's so she can compete there.
I am not going to underestimate either of these 2 ladies & I'm looking forward to seeing the improvements & adjustments each made & how it plays out on Saturday. Respect to both. Best of luck to both & I hope they r at peak performance so we can see an adequate & accurate result between both competitors.

Facts. Peña & her fans kept saying nunes was just making excuses but all the details add up, especially when u see the final result of the ass whooping she put on Peña. Nunes was giving legit reasons, not “excuses”
Amanda genuinely looks like she's in a way better place. She had a bit of an ego a few years ago, and it wasn't nice to see, but she seems to be humble in defeat. I hope she chins Julianna.

I genuinely don't think she's making excuses, it's like the Khamzat Chimaev situation where he was forcing himself to train but his lungs weren't ready but his coaches made him take almost a year off(obviously still training but not forcing it at the start)

I always love it when I hear someone speak English when they learned it later in life. It tells me so much about them. They have this fire to be independent and self sufficient. I love it!
This fight is tough to pick because I love both Julianna and Amanda. They are both kind souls.
I think that's cool too. But down here in Brazil people that speak english with less accent are constantly making less of those who have a stronger accent. They think it's a shame showing some accent, while people from other countries are sometimes even proud of showing their accents.

Her English got so much better. It's cool to hear her express herself well and learn about her personality and point of view.
I love Amanda. I have nothing but respect for Peña but man the disrespect for Amanda by people after one loss after such a dominant run is disappointing. Just saw her at the weigh ins yesterday and she looked amazing.
Alot of ppl feel she quit...but yeah im with you. She had a slip up which if anyone was allowed a slip up it was her..her run was incredible and inspirational

We were all convinced including Amanda and her team that she didn’t have to be on her A game to beat Julianna, but Julianna proved that to be false, much to respect to her she’s a warrior. My heart will always be with the champ champ though because I know she’s the best.

Imagine if the Interviewer didn't cut off the person he's interviewing.
DC always touches ppl in conversation. In this case it's a gesture with the back of his left hand. Usually when it's a male fighter he would touch his arm or shoulder. It's like his 'big brothering' body language. Fascinating. And Amanda mirrors or exhibits a similar gesture. Confidence. Or I'm just really really hiiiiiigh

Everything that Amanda is saying here seems to be adding up. She was piecing up Pena on the feet and was dominant on the ground before she started swinging wildly, abandoning all technique.
I got Nunes by decision via systematic destruction - meticulously picking her shots, dissecting Pena from range. Pena is a warrior and probably has the confidence and ego to not go down.
.. Either that or Nunes' aforementioned injuries + Covid were greatly exacerbated and all this is just more post loss bs fighters convince us of haha. Should be a banger either way. Looking forward to this one!
