Another reason why birthdays are stressful are when people are singing "Happy Birthday" to you, you have like NO idea what to do so you just sit or stand there and its just REALLY awkward and sometimes your just smiling uncontrollably and look really stupid

My birthday was today, but it honestly felt like just another day. No one besides my parents and my siblings wished me a happy birthday. I'm also at a time at my life right now (recently graduated college) where I don't really have any friends who I keep in touch with anymore. It sucks a little, especially as I get older, but I'm learning to be okay with it. Hey, I still got a few nice gifts and my mom and I had a special dinner at Shari's :) It just reminds me to be grateful for what I do have rather than focusing on what I don't.
