I wish you guys could cut out the repeat of the plea-bargain page and all those pages were you signed? Did he agree… And get right to the meet of the case. I know the judge has to say that and I know it must get irritating on her part to have to repeat it over and over, but I really wish the videos, since you’re earning money off of them would cut that out

If you would put your own text above the video, those of us that rely on captions wouldn't have to stop, rewind, turn off closed captioning, read the text, turn captioning back on, then rewind again every time, that would make watching your clips a lot easier and more relaxing.. ☺

Ex had no stalking, no communication, at least 500 feet physical, stay away order while I was divorcing him and District Attorney had an open Domestic Violence case against him. I had to, reluctantly chose to, move 3000 miles away from him for my own health, life!!! 24 yrs later I just found out, 2 days ago, he passed away December 2023. I had no idea. Heard another judge repeatedly say "you coulda went to the court office to report...". She'd have failed a 4th grade English exam. No one dared correct her. Every judge should have a public IM that they could monitor for immediate, anonymous advice that no one in their court would dare say.

A public defender IS an actually attorney who is an admitted member of the bar. Their caseloads are horrific and they are underpaid. If you can afford an attorney for $400/hour, go for it, but do not ridicule how hard they work or their credentials. Also, if you listen closely, the attorney states he was "retained" meaning he is a privately acquired attorney.

This corrections officer appearing via Zoom inspires no confidence that she knows what she's doing. Do these people not keep written records of every discussion they have with every client they have under their charge on probation? She should have had those notes and records with her and asked for the court's permission to refer to her notes to refresh her memory while testifying. "Not that I can recall your honor...." is unreal to me.

    • @happywanderer6307

This exactly what I was thinking. In my job, before I retired, I had notes on everything and everyone I talked to for anything. Why would I claim that? You might ask. Valid question. Answer: Because in my first job out of college (same organization, different dept) I took a message for someone and forgot to get the ladys' name. The person I took the message for tore me a new one in front of the whole office and made me cry. For the next 30 yrs, nobody EVER faulted my documentation. When I retired, I had letters of commendation from people in the legal office, contractors and architects. SO, that officer needs to get a clue and do a better job. Listening to the defendant, I find it hard to believe he could make up those details.

That's a very good point you make. They are supposed to make notes in the files. And if she'd done that, calling her wouldn't be necessary because Ms. Abrams would have found the notation when Judge Boyd first asked about it.
We're talking about enormous consequences here, Judge Boyd could have revoked him and sentenced him to prison on the spot.

He just can't help or won't obey Court orders. He is extremely arrogant and just because he has a decent job and dresses appropriately doesn't mean he's not putting his finger up to the Court. His defence council is amazing he just keeps on going all about how marvellous this guy is all the while he's just doing his own thing.

That was a very pleasant voice the probation officer had. Really nice to listen to. Imagine having to communicate with that on a daily basis. I would do everything to the letter just so I didn't have to hear that retched voice.

Judge Boyle is fair and give the defendant all tools and chances to get their life in order. But these defendants still can’t straight out. They are weak and or just think they are smarter than justice system. Judge Boyle is on point. Need more judges like her

He asked her while he was exiting?! That should have been one of the FIRST things to discuss during his meeting with the probation officer. IMO he's not being truthful. I'm sure there are other family members that could watch the child for an hour while he goes to the sober meetings.

Of course, he didn't go to any A/A meetings, he's been too too busy stalking his poor ex-wife and child.
What will it take keep them safe ?
Its this sort of situation where his ex and child get murdered.
I've seen the documentaries, this is how they start, they had a chance to protect them but failed to notice the signs.
    Judge Boyd is great.
