Don't feel guilty about waiting to have people visit after you have the babies. I had C- sections with both of my girls because they were breech. With my first, my parents and my in-laws were there immediately and the hospital actually allowed all of then to hold my daughter before I was even out of recovery. Then my in-laws stayed at the hospital all day the first day. I wasn't happy with how everything went, so with my second, I decided to not have visitors until I decided I was ready. That was the BEST decision I've ever made. It's hard recovering from a c-section. It was so nice for my husband and I to just enjoy our new baby girl by ourselves for as long as we wanted. Congratulations, I'm so happy for you and I can't wait to see the babies! Praying for healthy babies and an easy recovery for you.

To be honest, I think you wanting to see everyone meet the babies is amazing! You look wonderful, and I'm praying for you, your husband and sweet babies! 💕

I don’t think you should feel guilty at all about having people wait to visit. It is hard taking care of two babies and having a c-section. For me I felt the same way I did not even really want my parents present during the birthing process. But I had such a brutal labor I don’t remember most of it. And honestly your so focused on the labor looking back on it it did not matter that my parents were there when initially I just wanted it to be me and my husband. I was also grateful for all the help I got from
my family , as for me my twins were my first babies and I was a bit surprised by how scared I was to hold them, be alone with them. I felt like I had no clue! Looking back on it now I do think I was a bit ridiculous , if I ever have a second pregnancy I would not over think things so much. I wish you the best in your delivery and with your twins! My girls are just over 3 now and they are the best thing I have ever done in my life. True blessings 😇

Awww, I bet they are a blessing! Thank you for your input, I had our twins on Monday and I was afraid to hold them too. Not now but for a minute I was. I agree about not overthinking everything, now it seems umimportant especially compared to other things like getting them fed.

I birthed naturally at home. I only let immediate family visit for the first week but no one could hold my daughter except me for the first week, as well. I wanted to be alone and it was amazing.

Ps. I LOVE Brighton (not sure your spelling). But you saying he'd be like the bright after a storm, that's how I spelled it. Plus, it goes with Edith's middle name!

Thank you! I was so undecided but we named him Ira Brighton 💕

I had an emergency c-section at 3am in the morning. We didn't have visitors until the late morning. My parents also didn't know about the section because we didn't want to worry them!

Scary! I thought about not telling anyone when our c-section date is.

@@crossingmasondixon Our family knew that I was in labour but we requested they not come to the hospital! My labour was 24+ hours and my little guys heart rate was dropping so we didn't have a choice! The c-section itself was alright and to be honest the recovery wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I just made sure not to lift anything heavier than baby (8.8lbs)! And I didnt drive for 6 weeks after which was hard.

Would you be able to do a Q&A video before you deliver?

Emily Taylor congrats on their birth! I’d love it if you had the time to do a Q&A. My questions: how hard was it to find clothes that fit by the end? Did you have any embarrassing or tmj symptoms (like lots of gas/farting) during your pregnancy?

Wow, congrats on getting this far along.. im just 28weeks along and can't wait to get to 36weeks. I've 2 csections and both of them, family members are allowed to see the babies after a week. And we're planning to do same with our twins. Either way, both families won't even come untill after a week because they kept saying we need time to rest and heal after c section.
