You guys continue to ROCK!! I loved the first video I ever saw that you produced and they just keep getting better... and more important in their relevancy. "Continue to march" soldiers... fighting the good fight. And remember... always end your shows with that saucy walk-away... my wife loves that part and it makes me look REALLY good.
Great and positive video! As a retired member on S&R and Rescue Dive team its good to see a video of what value the hobby can provide for real life saving.
Very good work guys. Working in emergency response, and having interest in RC aircraft, this is the type of thing I like to see. I think UAS will become invaluable to the emergency services over the next decade.
I am currently developing a RQCX-3 Raven " variant" - I hope to put a video up within the next 6 months. The reason for this post is, - without people like YOU, I wouldn't have been "inspired" to take on such a project. The Variant is designed for Search & Rescue. It has an on board emergency chute deployment system for total failure, as well as a homing beacon. It will ( I hope ) be able to drop a "POD" with mission specific items as well. I take this opportunity to say THANK YOU! guys! cheers!
Another great video. Job well done. Let's hope the right people see this video and others like it to help motivate the FAA as well as our local, state and Federal law makers to make decisions that benefit commercial use of these UAV's.
Good job guys, I have a question, if he had of been in the water and climbed out wouldnt it be harder to find the person as his heat signature would not be so pronounced now that he is soaked with the cold water?
what video transmission system did you used to transmit both sets of video ? is it fully digital ? how much do does flir cameras go for ? how many pixels ? what your operating altitude to get sufficient pixels on target ?
RFTC... I'm an avid RC pilot myself, and was just wondering - why are you guys using the term "drone" so often if you said it shouldn't be used around the time of the Oregon law making debacle? I'm just wondering, not trying to start an argument.
This is awesome. As long as its the private Citizen doing it no problems. Once you turn it over to Government they will just mess it up and complicate it. FAA is working on Complicating it right now with the new bill they introduced. You will have to pass a test to be able to fly RC aircraft for commercial reasons.
$10,000 FLIR with 2 dollar APC props, bad idea guys get some graupners e-props they will never break mid flight and are almost as strong as metal props

Would have been interesting to see a submerged victim scenario with the FLIR.
