    Is it possible to use the same recipe but ferment it in the mixing bowl overnight, without using the varoma and jars? How would you do this?

    Hi. I have followed your method using two different flavours of the easiyo sachets. They have both turned out watery and not set. Any tips ?

    This is a very useful feature! Does the machine keep making that noise the entire time or it stops once the water has reached it's temperature?

    • @ThermoKitchen
      @ThermoKitchen  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Simioni, The Thermomix will make a noise until the water gets to 70 degrees. It will then cycle off and only reheat when the temperature falls below a fermentation temp. So throughout the 10 hours of fermenting it will turn on be operating periodically.

    If I want the yoghurt to be fermented at 40 deg Celcius, what temperature should I set in the fermentation mode? It seems too long for the milk to reach a temperature of 40C. Could you please share your experiences?

    • @ThermoKitchen
      @ThermoKitchen  ปีที่แล้ว

      If the yoghurt is in a container in the Varoma dish the temperature of the water should be set to 70 degrees celsius. Yoghurt is happy from around 25 degrees celsius. Too hot and it won't survive :(

    Love your recipes!
    I have a TM5. I know it would be more time consuming, but could you set the timer for the maximum time (i think its 99mins or something) at 70 degrees, and keep re-setting it until you reach 10 hours. I appreciate its nowhere near as efficient as doing it over night with the TM6, but I don't have one :). Thanks

    • @ThermoKitchen
      @ThermoKitchen  ปีที่แล้ว

      The TM6 doesn’t stay at 70 degrees through the whole 10 hours. It cycles off to allow the temperature to fall. The optimum temp in the Varoma is about 38-40 so if the TM5 was at 70 degrees I don’t think the yoghurt would survive :(

  • @nanaland5808

    Would this be have the noise for 10hours?

    • @ThermoKitchen
      @ThermoKitchen  ปีที่แล้ว

      No, the Thermomix will get to temperature, during which time it will make the heating / operating noise. Following this, the machine will 'hibernate' and only reheat when the temperature starts to drop. I have never noticed the noise when it is running throughout the night. Just be sure to set your timer to end some time in the morning and not at 3am, like I have accidently done before!

    omg does the sound at the end goes for 10 hours????????
    I know she gave the reasons why she prefer to use small jars. but to me its so much easier to make a litre of yougourt with the easyyo and add the its original yogourt maker for 8 hours (overnight) then fridge. Thats always saves on energy

    • @ThermoKitchen
      @ThermoKitchen  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No the machine doesn’t operate for 10 hours. The machine goes into hibernation mode and turns on when it needs to adjust the heat of the water. If you have an Easi-yo, by all means use that method. My video was to show people how to use the easi-yo starters if they have a Thermomix. The Thermomix can make yoghurt without the Easi-yo starters also as the temperature control is so much more precise.

      @@ThermoKitchen thanks for your reply, about the noise, how long did that noise last? Im planning for buy a TM6 for xmas (a little afraid that the TM7 comes next year) but everytime I'm watching videos about it the high pitch noise startles me big thanks for your reply

    • @ThermoKitchen
      @ThermoKitchen  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@edineujunior Hi Someone, The noise goes until the machine reaches 70 degrees. If you add hot tap water to the machine that will take about 2 minutes. The noise isn’t that loud. Did you notice how load it is as I open the packet of Easi-yo, I’m actually wearing a microphone which makes everything near me very loud. I would love to help Organise your Thermomix for you. I’m a consultant so I can order one for you. There is a special offer available at the moment which gives you a $150 gift voucher if you purchase before the 31 Dec 2020. Also, you don’t need to worry about a new TM7 anytime soon. Thermomix usually brings out a machine every 8 years on average and the TM6 has only been out just over a year. Plus, the TM6 is a smart Machine which gets upgraded with new features via WiFi.
      There are a number of payment plans which make purchasing a TM6 very affordable. Text or call me if you would like to know more Julie 0458522915.

    Is this a function of only the TM6 or can it be done in the TM5?

    • @ThermoKitchen
      @ThermoKitchen  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The TM6 allows a heat setting and timer to be set for up to 12 hours, which isn't available on the TM5. You really can't get a consistent temperature over 8-10 hours which is needed to ferment with the TM5. I hope this helps!
