Thank you. I forwarded this. In verse 24 the 70 weeks are 490 years of prophecy on Israel and the 1 week in verse 27 is equal to 7 years. The 7 years will be 7 years of tribulation on the earth. The 7 year tribulation begins with the Rapture of the Church and ends with the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

Hello! I was curious as to why you believe the last week, the 70th one, has not been fulfilled yet. Do you see a parallel between verse 26 and 27?
It seems that the "he" of verse 27 is the same as the subject of verse 26: the Messiah.
Who do you think the Messiah of verse 26 is, if you don't mind me asking.

The entire 70 weeks prophecy has already been fulfilled. From 457B.C to the immersion of Yeshua by Yochanan in 27CE is 483 years. Then from the immersion of Yeshua to his death is 3 and 1/2 years up to 31CE. Then the Gospel is offered first to His people until their final rejection of the Messiah in 34CE is the second 3 and 1/2 years. Then the Gospel was taken to the gentiles. "Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, it was NECESSARY that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourself unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the gentiles." Acts 13:46. The Messiah had to confirm the Covenant for 1 week with His people, and he did. May I suggest this book "Seventy Weeks the historical alternative "by Robert Caringola.
