All City Morgue/Zilla projects seem to have an issue with super simplistic chord progression looped with little to no changes and it seems super weird or even lazy. Weird because Zilla has some great vocal contributions

I’ll be honest, I wasn’t a Zillakami fan before this album. Though, I very much enjoy the sounds he’s presented on these songs. I hope he walks down a similar path in the future. Catchy, moody, emotional, rock anthems.

Gen-Xer here. I have listened to this song no less than 10 times in 24 hours. The grunge guitar sound is driving me nuts, it is bringing me back to a very specific sound/tone from when I grew up and I cannot for the life of me place it. Nirvana? I don't know the sound and vibe are so specific it shot me back in time immediately like 20 years.
It kind of reminds of early Deftones, I'm thinking Drive (Far Away). I know what you mean, it's familiar but I can't place the guitar tone. I don't think it's Nirvana, that's too early. I'd say something from late 90s.
