    With this civic you don’t need to pay 10k extra for a brand new hybrid that will take time to get use to the quietness and these civics are so reliable, easy to work on, and spacious! 🚘 great review again Gold 🐴

    Purchased the Civic EX-T back in July. It was my second choice that I do not regret. Handling is great and I like the interior design despite some cheap bits. The infotainment is buggy and laggy but it works. I have no complaints with this vehicle. I was reluctant to get a Honda but now I got it, I am turning into a fan.

    • @2004cyrus
      @2004cyrus 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      What does EX-T mean? Did you simply get a Civic Touring? I’m supposed to pick one up tomorrow but I’m not 100 sure. The civic gets a redesign that Honda is releasing all the pics & specs on this month on the 28th.

    • @terrencebenjamin7241
      @terrencebenjamin7241 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@2004cyrus T is for the turbo engine. You save yourself about 4K if you get this over the touring. What is different is cloth seats, 17” wheels, no rain sense wipers, no paddle shifters, and halogen headlights. If those features are important then go for the Touring.

    • @2004cyrus
      @2004cyrus 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@terrencebenjamin7241 oh gosh yes I feel stupid. I don’t ever add the T because I knew the EX is turbo automatically but yes you are right and I follow you now. Thank you for replying. And I’m all about saving money where possible too!

    • @2004cyrus
      @2004cyrus 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@terrencebenjamin7241 Yes I hate to spend $4k extra but I drive at night and need the LED headlights: people complain the halogens are weak unless you use brights. I need lumbar adjustment in the power seat. I need to see if the touring has that. I don’t need or want heated back seats that come on the touring as well. I may go with a VW Jetta SEL Premium.

    • @terrencebenjamin7241
      @terrencebenjamin7241 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@2004cyrus the Civic EX-T comes with an 8 way power drivers seat. The halogen lamps at night prove plenty sufficient for night time. If you still want LED’s you can add the after market. They are easy to install.

    Nice review. The civic seems like it is kinda claustrophobic with those low bucket seats with the center console much higher between them. The Corolla however is almost flat between the two front seats... Thats my only hesitation in deciding between the two. Is the seating position lower with the Honda? Thanks!

    The only thing I really dislike about my Civic EX are the headlamps. They are terrible, the are dim at night and have an overly warm glow. That is why the have the auto high beam function is on it. When the high beams automatically switch on they look normal brightness.

    • @2004cyrus
      @2004cyrus 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@ShowMeWhatINeedToKnow accurate isn’t the word to describe it. If he doesn’t mention the issue then being accurate doesn’t come into relevance. He leaves it out which is smart and they all do. He isn’t a mechanic and he is liable for saying certain things to his audience. It’s a complicated thing that opens a can of worms. Alex ok Autos addressed this issue by saying it’s not his job to tell audiences about mechanical failures but to just present a new car as it sits. That’s just wisdom and common sense. What do you expect them to say? This is a sh*t box? They wouldn’t be given cars to review from the manufacturers. People like you can read articles and educate themselves. You already knew about it so calling out a reviewer is just silly. Don’t buy the car if you have a problem. If you think his audience should know then create your own TH-cam car review channel and shout it from the roof tops. I was at the Honda dealer Wednesday and we talked about it. They say it was solved by Honda immediately. I disagreed and they got angry and I left. So no reviewer needs to get into it. You follow me now? Accuracy has nothing to do with it. His review wasn’t inaccurate because he omitted a recall. Think on that and you will realize I’m absolutely correct and so are these reviewers. I know you may be 18 or 19 but by 25 you start to learn what to say and when to keep your trap shut. Take care and good luck out there. I’m here if you need any advice. That’s my speciality

    • @stephencivic1989
      @stephencivic1989 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would agree that the oil dilution problem would need to be addressed. But not in a car review that talks about a cars features, road performance, and creature comforts. That is more for a pros an cons review or maintenance review. Any good car owner/buyer worth their salt is gonna do some research on the car/SUV/truck they are looking to buy. It's an investment after all, you'd be pretty stupid not to research for yourself before you invest. Plus you don't buy a car and then give it once over to look for any problems you do it either as you buy or before.

      Moe Anthony Moe , I suspected you’d hit me with that. Yes a couple models have the IVT and so does Kia.. I am aware. Those are much superior to Honda. Just as Gold Pony said the CVT sucks the soul out of the Civic. It’s an awful trend that can’t end soon enough. Honda is falling behind tho and their 9-speed transmissions are awful as well.
