On my third/fourth character...Day 406... I set it up as a Carpenter, with outdoorsman, and smoking, as traits... No, I did not set it up as 16x population, and all sprinters, a la Dawn of the Dead...but, with a little more experience, one day. I've started clearing whole towns...with a spear, or police baton... Most skills are still pretty low...besides carpentry and short blunt, and mechanics, along with metalworking...and cooking, I've had to lose being overweight a few times now... I find you evolve, into the world, or, this is how you die. 🤔
I only play on the hardest difficulty, when my friends played with me I was constantly shocked by how theyd die from leaving doors open or just not being aware of their surroundings.
@@thegreatautistoMy first five runs was me learning not to sprint away from zombies. I just wound up up being unable to make good distance or to fight back. Died all five times. This time around I’m on week two I think and have a nice little base camp stocked with canned goods, guns I looted from a survivor house and plenty of tools along with a few machetes. Personally. I found veteran to be a good beginner class for the lack of panic.
I think Veteran is good as well, but with the panic reduction over time, I usually just take lumberjack instead. I also prefer living in the middle of the woods lmao
I think the best advice is, accept death and having to begin with a new character. This game kills you, over and over and over, again. At a certain point, I rage quit a number of times, I died some many times quickly and each death made me angrier. Keeping in mind, each death was my own fault... not paying attention, bad choices, frustrations acting out. Then I had like a zen moment, embrace the suck. Learn the lessons of each playthrough. Each death taught me something. Every mistake made had consequences. I decided to live or die...not the zombies and not the environment. Those are the elements of playing Project Zomboid. As Forrest Gump said, "Dying was a part of life." All the best to everyone. Cheers.
poggers just lost 2 char each to a small group of zombs less than 10 because i was under the impresion they cant get me if i manage to walk back (spoilers they can move faster sometimes)
You’ve gotta gauge when it’s good to walk backwards, and when you should just turn around and take a few steps to get that distance back. It’s a careful dance that you’ll get better at as time goes on
The goal is to not get within arms length. Your weapons have slightly longer reach, don’t be afraid to let go of right click and walk away. Short bursts of sprint to not get cornered or surrounded
I think fire is a very good tool, and it’s frowned on by some. I get that it’s destructive and can be seen as cheap, but you’re playing against AI, so I don’t see the issue. In short, I don’t see it as something to warn about
While I agree with the sentiment, shit happens. Burning down a town/your base is a mistake only made once. I’ll probably make a short talking ab it, but I don’t think there’ll be another video for Zomboid unless people find enough topics for me to discuss in depth
I tend to exagerate with workshop mods. All i whant is qol mods Car armour mods Motorcycles Solar panels Blacksmith And i end up with half the workshop in and quit playing.
ok, this is bothering me. I recognize that song you keep using in intervals, but I can't place where from. PLEASE tell me what game that's from, so I may rest in peace 😂
The transiton music is called Rescue Base from one of the Pokemon mystery dungeon games, the rest of the background music is from various mario, pokemon, or zelda games!

Day 406? Oh my lord
I only play on the hardest difficulty, when my friends played with me I was constantly shocked by how theyd die from leaving doors open or just not being aware of their surroundings.
It’s definitely a game that tests your attention to detail and focus. It’s very easy to get comfortable and end up being followed without realizing it
As a dayz player the leaving doors open thing is so damn annoying lol
@@Jay30-z1s I've had at least 2 occasions where I died due to a friend who forgot to close a door
@@vesstig the dying don’t bother me to much it’s the weeks worth of loot left free for the taking 😂
Harder diffuculty? So 16x pop sprinters with insanely rare loot? Or hardest as in apocalypse?
Already a veteran of PZ, but I really appreciate your effort to get new players on board. Keep up the good work
It’s such a good game, but I hear a lot of people saying it’s too hard to get into, so I decided to make this series

I've only recently started playing in rosewood, always spawned in west point. It's so EASY now XD. 200hrs in and I finally feel like a god.
It’s so much easier, right?
I have a thousand or so hours on zomboid and I have to say this is a very well done guide for noobies.
I wanted to point out what’s actually important, not fill the video with fluff. I appreciate your kind words!

I agree completely!
You don’t play project zomboid. You suffer.
It doesn’t have to be that way! It gets a lot easier the more you play
I turned project zomboid into a Stardew Valley clone lol. gardening, chopping wood, baking bread and cookies in my mansion on the river.
And that’s perfectly ok! The game is a good survival game with zombies, so removing the zombies still leaves a good and challenging game!
@@thegreatautisto oh no there’s still zombies 💀 I just got to the point where I’m self sustaining and don’t get bothered by them much
Out in the cabin where I like to settle down, I don’t see any zombies at all. It’s very peaceful, just gardening and catching fish
commenting for algorithm.
😩💕 love to see it
