Vintage Necchi Lelia 513 Sewing Machine with original Operators Manual and Tool Kit. Includes foot pedal and several additional presser feet.

Never run a sewing machine with the presser foot down without fabric between the foot and feed dogs.

Sure, would be nice. If you said something in the video or kind of gave some kind of instructions on how to thread it or anything to do with how to work it would be nice

Sorry, this was just an example of a moron trying to sell an old sewing machine on CraigsList and posting a quick video at the request of the potential buyer... Probably scared them away after reading the comments about "never running a sewing machine with the presser foot down" - - oops!

Oh my goodness, Please raise the presser foot before running any machine. In every sewing book the company explains how important it is to never run a machine with the presser foot down unless there is cloth in between the needle and the feed dogs, if you do you can ruin the teeth on the feed dogs, and the teeth of the feed dogs can cut into the presser foot causing them both damage, then you may have to replace them. They are what feed the fabric through the machine. And I hate to see you ruin a pretty machine. I hope this helps you in the future. Other than that It was a very clear video.
