The song “Honestly” was the great power ballad from STRYPER that was voted the #1 video on MTV in 1987. Also “Free” went to #1 on MTV in 1987. The song “Calling On You” from STRYPER had much AirPlay as well and was ranked the #2 best video on MTV in 1987. All three of these songs were from the THWTD album that came out in October 1986. Still my favorite STRYPER album to this day, and this was the first band I got to see in concert in Denver, CO at the Paramount Theatre back in January 1987! The band “Hammers Rule” opened but had to quit early due to being boo’d off the stage and Bibles being thrown at them! I really enjoyed them and was sad they couldn’t finish their show! Was an intense night! And STRYPER put on a hell of a show that night if I may say!💛🖤💛🖤
Later in the 90’s-early 2000’s there were more Christian Metal bands that came onto the scene that were also in the Main Stream such as P.O.D., UnderOath, Skillet and Demon Hunter to name a few! And then STRYPER came back out onto the scene as well with their reunion tour in 2003 along with a new greatest hits album with 2 new songs. The greatest hits album was called “7: The Best Of STRYPER”. Then they brought out the “7 Weeks: Live In America” album in 2004. And then they brought out their new full length studio album “Reborn” the next year in 2005 which was their first since the “Against The Law” album in 1990! This was huge for me at the time and I actually got to reunite with the guys in 2005 in Denver, CO! The last time I had been with them was in 1990 when I worked with them in Miami Beach, FL w/ Trixter opening! The 15 yrs in between seemed like it never happened since the years had gone by so fast! We all hugged when we first saw each other in Denver at the venue they were playing at, and did a lot of great catching up! It was so wonderful being around them all again after so many years!💛🤘🏻✝️🤘🏻🖤
I don’t think I’ve heard of any of these bands except Styper and Brain “Head” Welch. Will be checking some of them out for sure. Also that cigar is a fantastic cigar!
These bands are really great and there are so many more I didn’t discuss but might do a show with some of the other Christian Metal bands I grew up with in the future! And yes this is one of my favorite Cigars!
I didn’t realize that Ted Kirkpatrick had passed away in 2022. He was the founding member and drummer/songwriter for Tourniquet! And I apologize. The song “Ark Of Suffering” was on their debut album “Stop The Bleeding” from 1990. “Psycho Surgery” is their Sophomore album from 1991.
Welcome everyone out there all around the world and thank you for all of your Support to me here! I hope you enjoy this show!💨🤘🏻✝️🤘🏻💨

Hi HANDSOME!❤
Hello mom!❤
I didn’t realize that Ted Kirkpatrick had passed away in 2022. He was the founding member and drummer/songwriter for Tourniquet! And I apologize. The song “Ark Of Suffering” was on their debut album “Stop The Bleeding” from 1990. “Psycho Surgery” is their Sophomore album from 1991.
