Absolutely... Everyone is enamored with having multiple superstars on one roster. How has that worked for Brooklyn, Phoenix, etc? Knicks have a good core and complimentary players. Randle is a Star, Brunson is a Superstar, and OG, if we keep him, has the potential to be another star. We don't need "quote on quote" superstars. Only one ball to go around. Run it BACK! We have a deep bench once healthy, and I believe Randle is going to be on a Mission to prove all the haters wrong!.. Go Knicks.

Great analyst I never understood this new cba or even how past ones worked and he’s taught me the most about it and other financial and upper office moves and stuff like that , def keep bringing this guy back
All the key players (RB, OG, Julius, and I Hart) on the current roster say they want to stay on this team. Are they all willing to sacrifice some salary in order keep the team intact and allow management to stay under that 2nd apron. Time for a team meeting to see if all will hang together and sacrifice for the betterment of all.

I put on my BOOTLEG GM hat and did some math, WAIVE Bagdon, use his $17 mill on IHeart, OG opt-in at $19 mill and sign a 4yr-$146 mill extension=$175 over 5, offer Precious 2yr $15 mill player opt yr 2, decide on a draft plan, COMBINE THE PICS AND MOVE UP, DRAFT ALL THREE 24-24-38 (WE CAN USE SOME YOUTH) decide on Sims $2mill, And by my calculations we are STILL UNDER $171..
Do not forget that Bobby said 50mil for IHart and OG + guaranteeing Boggy to get us over the 2nd apron. Meaning we have plenty to wiggle our cap! 14mil + 34mil =48mil trade Boggy before the guarantee date or cut him! We will be fine.
The guy I was high on was a potential 2nd round pick, 6'7 wing Jaxson Robison from BYU. If anyone watched the NCAA Tournament, he would have been a steal for the Knicks in the mid 20's. But course he just withdrew from the 2024 Draft to plat at Kentucky. FML
As long as Knicks don't tweak core, i can see adding on a player or two that can fit right in.

Rumors are OG is going back to Toronto.. After the knicks sued the raptors and now NYK tried to vito Toronto getting a WNBA team, Toronto will be driving a high price for OG..
Trade Bojan and a 1st and 2nd rounder for 5 to 10 places higher in this year's draft. Frees up salary for extensions and/or iHart/OG signings and we pick up a potential contributor in the draft.
As for the people saying run it back, our window is very small with these numbers, maybe we can or maybe we'll be screwed long term because of that. So what I would do, is trade Randle and get better adjusted numbers from lesser role players or even a rising star?. Look we can't keep everyone. We made a playoff run without Randle, get more depth keep our core guys.

This isn't complicated If you cut Burks & Bogan you have the space to sign Heartenstein, OG and Possibly Precious. Then use you 12 mill dollar exemp to keep Bogan or Burks. PLEASE TELL ME if I'm wrong.
Hartenstein’s decision is kind of beyond the Knicks’ control. If somebody offers him 80-95 million, Knicks aren’t allowed to come close to that because of the early bird rule. Also, if they do end up being able to keep I-Hart, your scenario of trying to sign Precious while cutting Bojan wouldn’t make sense. You didn’t mention trying to trade Mitch, so now you’re talking about spending 40 million on 3 centers who can’t shoot while cutting your best bench perimeter shooter

Mitchell Robinson & salary filler(s) for Marcus Smart. Grizzlies need a C, Knicks need someone who can run the Off when Brunson sits & can also play alongside him. Smart fits the Knicks identity perfectly. They can use a high IQ, tough guy for sure. And resign Precious to be backup Center for a third of what Mitch costs. And def not signing Julius to an extension, simply don’t trust him. When he signed this most recent extension, he essentially took the following year off.

Get rid of Mitch. IHart is CLEARLY better and should be our priority to resign. Best ability is availability. Plus, he's a liability on offense and can't be played at the end of games because he can't hit free throws.

Since the Rudy Gobert trade where Minnesota gave up 6 future 1st rounders for the multi-defensive pretender of the year winner, the Knicks need more draft capital in order to haul in a major piece. Right now there’s not much out there to be had. Sabonis would be an upgrade over I-Hart but Sacramento willing to part? Nope. Re-sign OG Anunoby and I-Hart. Re-sign Burks who is money in the Playoffs Bogdanovic was disappointing and the free agent market has quality shooters. That’s the toughie. Where does Mitch go, Detroit?

Hornets get Mitch Robinson, Ben Simmons, 2-1st from Knicks
Nets get Miles Bridges, Bojan Bogdanovic, Davis Bertans, 3-1st from Knicks
Knicks complete their Nova Knicks, would free cap space to resign IHart, and get a great back up big on a team friendly deal.
Hornets get a top 10 center (when healthy) which they sorely lack and 2-1st. I’m not sure if Miles wants to stay in Charlotte, so at least the Hornets would get some value back.
Nets get Miles Bridges in a sign & trade, who is 2 years younger than Mikal, has high upside, and better than Jalen Green (who Rockets proposed in a trade with Bk). They’d also rid themselves of Ben Simmons and waive Bogi and Bertans, freeing up nearly $30m in cap space, which they’ll need to avoid the luxury tax, after resigning Nic Claxton and Cam Thomas. Most importantly, they’d get at least 3-1st round picks from the Knicks.
This is why you are a fan and not a GM. lol
