In the late 90s, we had unusual tracks in the freshly fallen snow on our property. It was really large bare feet prints. We photographed the tracks. We never seen anything tho. This was in Beaver County.

Wow! Was just there in August of this year (2022) specifically for the history of bigfoot sightings and that forest is squatchy as hell! I've never seen anything close to Berks county that looks as much like the PNW as this stretch of forest. Quite a diverse local ecology. Great video man!

1967, Chester County Pa. I was 11 yrs. old. Sledding in winter with my brother and 2 neighbors. Back before new 50 mile long Route 113 was built in the 1970s, the area was densely wooded and wild. We were tobogganing the steep farm fields with a good mile long run to the bottom . We had just climbed the hill for one last ride before sunset, when we noticed the silence, no birds singing, no squirrels chattering the alert that kids were playing. Complete silence. Then we felt it, eyes on us. We looked about and over in the woods just in about 4 ft from the open snowy field, stood the biggest hairy gorilla looking man we ever saw. We froze motionless and peered at it to discern what exactly we witnessed. It was at least 7 to 8 ft tall, not a bear, not a man, not a prankster. It had red eyes, it didn’t move, just stood there watching us sledding. It raised the hair on the back of my neck. Being the eldest of the group, I ushered everyone to leave and we exited rather quickly as it scared the mittens off of all of us. We all knew that what we saw was real, unusual, part animal and scary as heck, no one believed us, but we will carry that childhood memory forever!

20+ years ago I was camping with my little brother just off the AT on Blue Mountain, a place where over night camping was actually not allowed (shhh lol) in the middle of the night we were woken up by noises around our tent, something large walking around and breathing deep and heavy. We immediately thought bear, but the breath had such a down low deep bass type sound that I wasn't totally convinced it was a bear, it just didn't sound right, and it was higher up, like the sound was more near the top of the tent not the sides but neither of us had ever seen or been close to a bear so it certainly could have been. It stayed about 20 seconds (guessing) and ran off, the steps were super heavy and didn't sound like something on 4 legs. We didn't hang around long that morning but did look for a minute for any type of prints or anything but if you know the AT in PA, there isn't much soft dirt lol. I don't know what we encountered but it changed how I hike from then on, my little brother who is in his 40's now, never went back in the woods again over night.

There's an old hymn, "I Wonder as I Wander." The title seems to fit you well. Now I wonder as you wander, when outdoorsmen and hunters see huge footprints, why don't they track them? And in state game land it seems that if the creatures were there, even one, a poacher would have bagged a trophe by now. The setting was a beautiful backdrop for story-telling. Great video.

Hi Cliff, I do remember your previous video on these encounters, to my mind it seems there are too many people's reports
that are extremely similar when they try to describe what it is they've seen for it to be some kind of hoax.
I think the spring itself is a beautiful, peaceful place, it is fascinating to watch it create sand volcanoes as it comes up.
Thank you for sharing, much love. xx ❤

In a world where people are taught there is no God it's not surprising for many to try to shove things into a material reality only box. I believe God created all things including unseen beings and processes. In a fallen world it's also not surprising there "things" that not what perhaps what or living as they where created to be or live. Having grown up semi off grid (at times completely off grid) in a rural area I've had real experiences with something that was annoyed the h*ll out of us for a few summers.
My half Cherokee grandmother who grew up off grid deep in the mountains of Virginia would tell interesting tales of her area passed down by her elders. People from long ago who weren't touched by the Bigfoot craze and never used the term. Oddly, only two stories could be Bigfoot related; the one with the kidnapped man lining in a cave with half human half "ape" babies and the screaming sound they only heard one time of the year. The first story is very interesting.
After growing up and thinking about Bigfoot I found an interesting tie between First Nation peoples and the world's hide-and-seek-champion. Native people's DNA traces back to Central Asia. There are ancient drawings in that area of humans, animals and what appears to be a Bigfoot type creature. The people lived in nature, knew how to draw a bear. There are a few tribal tales of their shamans invoking Bigfoot type spirits against their enemies.
In Alaska people have reported seeing a cryptid Leprechaun. Yes, that's what they said they saw. In the lower 48 people many years ago have reported seeing cryptid Gnomes wearing the traditional Gnome clothing. With the other unusual cryptids, such as Sheepsquatch, I'm wondering if unseen spirits take on characteristics tailored for the people of the land they seem to share. Europeans brought sheep and suddenly a new beastie appears. People who have tales of gnomes or leprechauns have settled everywhere in the US. There are other versions of big creatures that Natives never mentioned, they appeared after people from another country brought in different animals or supernatural tales.
What are they? Beings that must live a material life after the world fell but retain attributes humans don't have? That would explain their need for food, shelter, etc. and vulnerability and may be the reason there are few artifacts and their seemingly supernatural abilities. There are a lot hype and lies now, I don't believe there are loads of them, with one behind every tree or wandering every patch of woods. I suspect they're part of God's creation, like whatever spirits God has to be involved with the land, but not something we should get involved with at all. All ancient cultures believed the land could be blessed or cursed. A place with wicked or unjust people had land problems; perhaps some of those problems were not lack of rain, too much rain, non producing livestock or bad crops.

You know my couple thousand miles of wanderings on trails I never run in anything or even felt afraid or smelled anything. But... "I Believe".

@@JayOverlands it was in Texas. Lol. A little place outside Conroe Texas. Grangerland. It was about 7-8 ft. I was driving a Ford pinto station wagon. That thing was a wide as the hood of the car. Very muscular. Covered in dark brown hair. When it ran, it's hair would bounce. It didn't look like it had a neck. It did not have glowing red eyes. The eyes would look blue depending on the way the headlights reflected off of them. Other times they would look black. But I stepped on the gas, I guess I scared it because it ran out of the road. And I speed out of that area. I wouldn't go back there for years.

Creepy tail there Cliff. I think the older stories of a hairy manlike creature are more believable simply because there were far more traveling shows/circuses back then. Ape like animals could and probably did escape from these shows back in the day. The owner, not being able to track them down and thinking they would perish come the winter probably just moved on. More recent sightings? Two hundred yards is, putting it in perspective , two football fields away. I don't like to call anybody a hoaxer without proof. I think seeing a "whatever" that far away in the spring/summer fall in the woods would be impossible. Even in winter with two hundred yards of tree trunks in the way something that far away could be anything. The guys that took a shot at it or warning shot? How much beer did they consume B 4 that all took place? Today's Bigfoot do not exist, they are based on old tails handed down from when strange animals not seen everyday were seen in the wild as I explained above.
