Omfg I love at 4:00 when you accentuated his "in space" by sliding down to the higher frets complimenting his vocals with a higher octave. I'm pretty sure they did that in the studio, except it sounds like a more machine whirly synth sound but you're the only person I've seen include that in a cover and it makes it sound so much more powerful!! Rock on dude!! \m/
+Jake C Thanks. It's my favourite Manson album. A lot of the songs are covered badly on youtube (or not at all) so I thought I'd correct that. Just got New Model No 15 to go and then the whole album is done
Empress Tremolo 2 for reverb (clean parts) and an EHX Nano Holy Grail (clean, pre-chorus and overdubs). Rhythm distortion is a BOSS MT-2 Metal Zone. I think the lead distortion is an EHX Soul Food saturated with an Xotic SP Compressor
so it doesn't show me tab (even though I've paid) during the chorus, you kinda play along with the voice. if that makes sense. how? I try to watch your hands but get lost lol good playing though, man! plan on doing anything from portrait?
The guy who did the tab (not me) didn't do the lead part in the chorus, how lazy! It's quite easy, it's all on the 3rd (G) string. 5 then 4 twice, then 7 5 4 then 19 17 16. Hope that makes sense! I never really got into Portrait. The only songs from that I learned were Get Your Gunn and Lunchbox, both of which I covered the live versions of on my single take cover of The Last Tour On Earth which unfortunately got taken down. I may do those from the studio version in the future but it's unlikely I'll do any of the rest of the album. Thanks for watching
I noticed in the original song if you listen during the chorus there's a washy saw synth that plays that voice part which I thought was very cool that this person incorporated that into this cover, considering a lot of people tend to overlook that shit
I can feel the Zim Zum's influence here in the guitar, nice job!!!
My favorite album.

It is a guitar part. It sounds like a saw synth because they are hitting the open 2nd string at the same time as doing the run down the higher frets
easily the best cover of this song ive ever heard bro. hairs stood on end / tingles, ngl
Well done dude, MUCH better than anyone else's covers
Learnt a lot cheers
Love your Telecaster sound, great work!

I'm still working through Antichrist Superstar. I will get to Holywood eventually
good cover!
higher frets sound dissonant. it can be tuned
You do a lot of covers of stuff from Mechanical Animals - and nail it all. Is it your favorite album?

Aleks W it makes sense! thanks, man!
Actually, at a second look it's 5 then 4 twice, 7 then 4 and then 17 16 14
Aleks W gotcha. I appreciate it, man! one of my favorites from Mechanical Animals

Did you use reverb for this cover?
Yes it was probably an EQD Afterneath or an WEHX Nano Holy Grail, can't remember which
ЗАЕБИСЬ🤟👍🤝
Tuning ?
E standard. It says so in the description, where you will also find a tab
