The mutual admiration and respect you have for each other is palpable. Carson is so impressive while also being incredibly humble and endearing. I sincerely hope we will hear from him on RHAP in the seasons to come ❤

Carson and Rob’s Survivor debut share a lot of parallels. Young students who loved the game, studied it, and ultimately played so well they changed the game- all while making great tv. Nice to hear you all talk
(Carson is in the greatest to never win conversation)

Idk if I’d say Carson changed the game at all, we have no evidence of that since no one has played after him yet

@@TheMurrmursonbottle Was I being hyperbolic? Probably.
However the Tika 3’s dominance of the 3 tribe format may really rewrite the handbook so to speak. Only time will tell, but I definitely think the strategies Carson used will become more commonplace.
Therefore he gets the (perhaps a bit preemptive) game changer title from me.

I agree, Carson was a great non winner. He wasn’t as funny as Rob was on Amazon but he definitely did a great job of adapting to work with a variety of people without being considered a huge threat. Rob sort of got screwed with the final 2 thing and most people believe he had a great chance of winning in a final 3 scenario, same with Cirie and some others. It’s a lot different now with the fire making and the shorter game but it shows that there’s no easy way to win Survivor.
It would be a shame if we never see Carson on Survivor again but it doesn’t really seem like returning players are a thing after season 40.

      @@Emile.gorgonZola That’s a really fair point.
To play devils advocate though, while the way Rob played might have earned him the ire of his cast, it basically became THE way to play the game.
If it weren’t for Rob, Carson’s social game probably wouldn’t be respected.
It’s hard to say one is better than the other bc the game they played might have the same name, but the survivor of the first 6-8 seasons is an entirely different of survivor past 40.
      Nonetheless both great players.

Carson played such a great game and really catapulted the three stooges to the end. He deserved to win probably but he played a great game and that was highlighted in the show and definitely highlighted on this interview.

The crazy thing is Carson would have won fire on almost any other season. And he had a really good chance of winning for his age. I still think Yam had the social capital built up to a point where he was going to get more votes no matter what but that’s really hard to tell from the edit. They didn’t show a lot of Carson’s relationships outside the Tika 3 since it wasn’t ultimately important to the final vote.

I love Yam but Carson deserved to win. The amount of prep he did preseason and the way he strategically controlled the entire season is insane 🤯

14:00 Guarded posture means feeling VULNERABLE in the world of therapy. Helen probably was thinking about someone else having an idol and feeling vulnerable from it. Perhaps people cross their arms when they're lying because lying also puts you in a vulnerable position, but Carson is right that it was not a good conclusion. It's a step too far.
