@@mackdee911h3 PC isn't bad, it works perfectly fine for me, I've had them since they came out. I can understand for people who try to get the game now though. But It's pretty easy to work around the issues and they have guides for it on the community hub.
Man, Dumah freaked me out when I first played Soul Reaver in 2002 when I was just 13 years old. Nothing worked against him, so I kept getting killed until a friend pointed out that I wasn't supposed to fight him, but to lead him to the furnace. Easier said than done, as he's really fast and his ground slam stuns you. The great part about Soul Reaver's boss fights was that you were always supposed to use the environment to kill them and not your own claws and weapons. Rahab died when he was blasted by sunlight, Dumah was incinerated in a furnace, Zephon had burning eggs thrown at him and Melkiah got stabbed by dropping gates and crushed by a massive meat grinder. Ironically the only boss you had to fight traditionally was Kain.
I love how the snare drums, often associated with the showing of military power, are there to further reinforce the fact that he was the strongest warrior of the lieutenants.
And to think Dumah isn’t even fully evolved yet like he rest of his brothers. Imagine how much more of a beast he would have been had he not been stuck by hunters for the better part of a thousand years. I’ve heard it said by a concept artist he would have been like a rhino, and i can believe it with dumah.
Absolutely amazing game I loved the music and the storytelling of game itself being able to meet with Michael Bell(Raziel) was even more exciting experience; He would tell me how voicing Raziel was so awesome I asked Him how was it working with Rene Auberjonis(Janos Audron)in Soul Reaver and in Deep Space Nine before He passed; People would come up to Rene and ask so many questions about Soul Reaver but He didn't know how to answer them He would ask Michael Bell how do handle those fans
Though it wasn't the longest boss battle. Iirc it took me like like an hour abd a half and I was so worn out by the point I was running everything trying to interact with anything and just lucked out finding the furnace. If they remake soul reaver dumah is the one focus for change they should have. Change his ability and msy e better sign posting so it don't take so long to remember the furnace lol.
If they're gonna touch the old games, which they should cus they're la k of planning led to some retcons needed, especially in the current gaming landscape despite a good as Amy Henning was and tried to tie things up right. Which means voice needs to change. Plus, let's be honest. The modern gamer who never played the series wouldn't let the elder God abd mortanius having the same voice lol.

I don’t know.. the faces on my Soul Reaver start to change right away.. maybe it’s a bug with your version.. I am using the NTSC version.. don’t know if the PAL version is different..
@@madcat789 I could be wrong, but I had both versions (PS1 and DC) and I think the DC version never had the dynamic main menu with the changing faces. It may have only been a PS1 feature.
Yeah the faces don't change on the Dreamcast version. I don't know why they removed it, but eh, not a big deal. It's still the best version of Soul Reaver IMO.

Never played this game but i remember my brother played it, i loved this theme and Rahab´s stage theme so many memories, this games was amazing.

I'm playing the DC NTSC version. Guess it's just a bug, DC discs don't last as long as PlayStation discs.
