"All that ‘I used to be cruel to my woman, I beat her and kept her apart from the things that she loved’ was me. I used to be cruel to my woman, and physically - any woman. I was a hitter. I couldn’t express myself and I hit. I fought men and I hit women. That is why I am always on about peace, you see. It is the most violent people who go for love and peace. Everything’s the opposite. But I sincerely believe in love and peace. I am a violent man who has learned not to be violent and regrets his violence. I'm looking at all the comments on how they were terrified of the cat when they were a kid. Meanwhile I watched this movie when I was at least 7 and thought it was the F U N N I E S T shit
The Cat should have been the most intelligent, most polite, most gentle, most cheerful, most normal, most thoughtful, most decent, and/or most modest man in real life who can show more decencies to prove himself as a best friend whom children could ever had, by asking properly for permission, knocking your house's door like good/normal neighbours, offering real/legal/professional/proper babysitting/tutoring services to the parents with more trustful/believable/legal/professional methods, handling situations like good mature woman, willing/learning to understand children's real feelings/problems, helping children to have fun on their own without going too far with all they can have, and/or standing up against child abuse.
Probably the best thing about this film is just how much fun they had making the film and how exited the kids were to make this just look at the bloopers and you can tell how much fun it was
Lemme make a check list of what powers the cat has 1. Teleportation 2. Super strength (swatted Conrad away with just his tail) 3. Access to a pocket dimension where he can keep his stuff 4. That shot of Taiwanese parliament is interesting because it demonstrates there's a Taiwan in this universe which also implies a China and a Chinese revolution and that implies there was an opium war and Mao Zedong and that the holocaust probably happened but this cat and his stupid fucking magical cat universe did nothing to stop it
@Comment Crusader Huh?
Comment Crusader …. They’re talking about the cinematic universe. Events that happened in our universe and are referenced in movies means that they happened in the cinematic universe too

I like that there's no real forshadowing to the Cat showing up except for the intro narration and the Cat just materializes into existence behind these children to traumatize them. Like genuine Pennywise vibes.
You’d have no clue what this movie is when watching like the first 20 min.
Imagine reading the book and then watching this.
"A monster? Where?"
*Chaos ensues*
I can definitely agree with the Pennywise comparison. A lot of it really boils down to just how terrible that cat costume is. It just looks _wrong_ lol. Not immediately frightening or anything, just... wrong.
The cat is pennywise confirmed
The Kupcakeinator scene was the best thing to come out of this movie
That scene was made, either through someone not giving a shit, or someone finally giving a shit

"Getting Better" is a Beatles song that Smashmouth covers for this movie. In the song John Lennon mentions beating his wife.
Oh damn
the perfect song for this movie 🥰
From lyric genius for context to the lyric:
This verse was contributed by John Lennon, who had recently ended his unhappy first marriage. Lennon was a self-confessed woman beater in his youth.
I will have to be a lot older before I can face in public how I treated women as a youngster."
-from Lennon’s final interview with Playboy in 1980

Probably the best thing about this film is just how much fun they had making the film and how exited the kids were to make this just look at the bloopers and you can tell how much fun it was
idk what is funnier...

1. Teleportation
2. Super strength (swatted Conrad away with just his tail)
3. Access to a pocket dimension where he can keep his stuff
4. Can Clone himself
5. Enhanced durability (recovered from his tail getting chopped off)
6. Has total control over the things which seem to have the same powers
7. Super speed (moved so fast he was but a blur
8. Can STOP TIME
9. (and probably the most terrifying) is aware of the world beyond the television screen
Ah yes fourth wall breaking my absolute favorite power

Only do it on a day that feels really right to you.. if you’re feeling down or too anxious, hold off until you feel the time is right!
