Fun Fact: Kubo confirmed that it was intentional to choose Haschwalth's Schrift as "B" & Bazz B's Schrift as "H" for Heat, the initials for each others names.

If you look closely when Jugram unsheaths his sword when he's about to fight, the B button is still on it.

Yep the sword Jugo picked up after the Black castle was destroyed is the same one used to kill Bazz-b

The thing is... Killing yhwach was only bazz b goal... Bazz b never once asked how jugram felt about the situation, he just assumed that jugram wants to kill yhwach too because jugram uncle died. But if anything, jugram would be thanking yhwach more than killing him bcuz yhwach killed his abuser

While it’s true that Bazz never explicitly asked Jugram how he felt about Yhwach, it’s equally true that Jugram never voiced any disagreement with Bazz’s goal. For years, Jugram trained alongside Bazz and supported his preparation for their confrontation with Yhwach. If Jugram had completely opposed the idea of killing Yhwach, it’s unlikely he would have gone along with Bazz for so long without expressing his feelings.
The idea that Jugram would be “thanking” Yhwach for killing his uncle oversimplifies the situation. Yhwach didn’t kill Jugram’s uncle to save him; he destroyed their village as part of his larger conquest. Jugram’s uncle’s death was collateral damage, not an act of mercy or justice. Yhwach’s actions left Jugram and Bazz as orphans in a ruined world, so viewing him as a savior ignores the broader consequences of his actions.
Jugram’s silence doesn’t necessarily mean gratitude toward Yhwach; it reflects his quiet, reserved nature and internal conflict. His loyalty to Yhwach later in life was likely tied to their unique connection and the role he played in Yhwach’s plans, rather than a sense of personal gratitude.
Bazz assumed Jugram shared his hatred for Yhwach because they both suffered under the same circumstances-losing their homes, families, and sense of safety. While it’s true that Bazz acted on that assumption, Jugram’s willingness to follow Bazz’s lead for years suggests that he wasn’t entirely opposed to the idea, even if his feelings were more complicated than Bazz realized. Bazz B isn't at fault.

@POCAHONTASBOI it's not jugram part to voice his opinion and that was shown when he was a little kid because of how his uncle treated. He was literally broken

@POCAHONTASBOI jugram losing his uncle would be more of a benefit and praise for yhwach than him hating him bcuz yhwach saved him from his abusive uncle

@@rajnibrown2194 That doesn’t mean he lacked agency or the ability to form opinions as he grew. Jugram’s reserved nature and quiet demeanor stemmed from his traumatic past, but his actions-training with Bazz, preparing to fight Yhwach, and sticking by Bazz for years-still reflect a degree of alignment with Bazz’s goals, even if Jugram didn’t voice them openly.
Jugram’s silence can be attributed to his personality and upbringing, but it doesn’t automatically negate his agreement with Bazz’s plans. It’s also important to note that while Bazz assumed Jugram shared his hatred for Yhwach, Jugram never opposed or resisted the idea of fighting Yhwach. His willingness to stay by Bazz’s side for so long suggests that, despite his broken state, he understood and supported Bazz’s cause to some extent, even if he wasn’t as vocal or passionate about it.
Being broken by trauma doesn’t mean Jugram lacked feelings about Yhwach or his situation-it just means he expressed them differently. His loyalty to Bazz during those years reflects more than just passive compliance; it shows a bond and shared purpose, even if it wasn’t as overt as Bazz’s fiery determination. It's clear you are just being biased.

    • @POCAHONTASBOI
      @POCAHONTASBOI 24 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

@@rajnibrown2194 It’s an oversimplification to assume Jugram would automatically praise Yhwach for it. The situation is far more nuanced. Jugram might have been relieved to escape his uncle’s abuse, but that doesn’t mean he would instantly feel gratitude toward Yhwach, especially considering Yhwach’s larger role in causing destruction and upheaval.
Moreover, we never see Jugram express explicit gratitude toward Yhwach for "saving" him. His loyalty to Yhwach seems more rooted in his unique connection as Yhwach's other half, rather than a sense of personal indebtedness for dealing with his uncle. It’s also worth noting that Jugram’s quiet nature and emotional reserve make it difficult to pin down exactly how he felt about Yhwach's actions.
Additionally, Jugram was fully aware that Yhwach was responsible for destroying Bazz’s clan and home. Jugram grew up alongside Bazz, who carried the weight of his clan’s destruction and harbored a deep-seated hatred for Yhwach. Jugram couldn’t have been oblivious to that pain or indifferent to the loss of his own home.
The idea that Jugram’s life improved because of Yhwach ignores the complexity of his journey. While escaping his uncle was a turning point, the bond with Bazz and the years of struggle they shared likely played a bigger role in shaping who Jugram became. His relationship with Yhwach was defined more by duty and inevitability than by personal gratitude.

I'd like to think it's a mixed feeling with Jugram. He wanted to protect Bazz because he cares, but he also chose to be in a place where he feels like he belong. It's one of those, I care and love you but I do what I gotta do.

2:42 you might think it has AOT energy cause young Jugram is voiced by Armin’s VA (coincidentally both shy blonde boys), and young Bazz shares the VA with Stark from Frieren (both fiery red-heads).

19:55 The concept of the scale is almost like a seesaw. One person's bad luck is another's good luck. He doesn't have a greater goal, he's just aware that all the pain of losing Bazz will come back as some good luck that will be fundamental to the story (if I say more it'll be a spoiler)

The poem is more about Balance. Jugram's whole thing is about balance as seen in Cour 1. The poem is more so "I don't feel pain as this bad experience of mine will become something good in the end"
It's not about a hidden agenda. He is just saying he will ignore the momentary pain since he thinks he'll gain something from it.

There is a parallel between Jugram and Bazz being friends and Ichigo and Ishida being friends, and the whole theme of betrayal. It'll be more obvious with the following episode but remember Jugram has been watching Uryuu all along and doesn't trust him. Probably because he understands better than anyone because of this parallel. Jugram avoided killing Bazz all this time but this time he couldn't avoid it and ended up killing Bazz and choosing Ywach in the end though he does seem afected by it. Uryuu has tecnically also wounded Ichigo and Renji leathally but we know Jugram is still distrustful of Uryuu probably because he doesn't buy it.

[Thoughts][Lotta reading for those interested sorry, just an ep that I have so many thought about]
    - Haschwalth obviously dealt with physical abuse from his Uncle, but with the scene and voices here in the anime it's believed that he’s also dealing with sexual abuse. The lines “You can’t do anything without me” and how twisted the Uncle’s voice became when he said “my precious Jugo” seems to suggest as much. This reality certainly plays a role in Haschwalth's need to feel useful or wanted without circumstance.
    - We learned a few things from Kluboutside, for example Bazz-B’s and Haschwalths Schrifts are a reference to their friendship. Bazz-B has H and Haschwalth has B. We also know that those Schrifts are based on trauma’s and we see here that Bazz-B’s clan was burned down. (Additionally this battle was eluded too when Haschwalth was caught in Senjumaru’s Bankai)
    - As you said, whats interesting with Bazz-B and Hascwalth is that though Bazz-B proclaims that the revenge is for both of them, we never hear it from Hascwalth himself. It’s likely that Hascwalth actually had little issue with what happened given that he was being abused, but he was simply trying to help the only living person he cared for however he could, cause he wanted to be useful.
    - As noted by some, this friendship was always unfortunately built upon weak foundations despite that fact that they did care for each other. A point that always stood out to me was how Jugram said from the start that he didn't like being called Jugo (obviously cause that's what his abuser called him), but Bazz-B never stopped. This occurs because despite how much they cared for each other, neither properly took the time to understand the other. The relationship wasn't made on equal footing, For Bazz-B, Jugram was someone he was helping and bringing along his adventure and to Jugram, Bazz-B was a Bandaid for his Trauma. True Friends don't only help or care for one another, they must also put in the work to try and understand each other.
    - Yes! as you realized “Worth” is a Major theme here between these two friends, even when Bazz-B believes that Haschwalth has no worth in regards to getting revenge he still chooses to keep him by his side, but the reality remains that he doesn’t need Haschwalth, but with Yhwach’s arrival Bazz-B is made aware that the roles were actually reversed. This realization hurts Bazz-B’s pride and the way he looks at Haschwalth is the nail in the coffin, Jugram already felt he had little purpose, the only link chaining them together was the believed care for one another. The issue is that Haschwalth has a warped understanding of worth and relationships due to his abuse, for him “worth” is to be wanted and needed and a relationship must result in something being gained. Regardless, In this moment Jugram began to feel that Bazz-B no longer wanted, needed or cared him, and here you have Yhwach offering Jugram the exact opposite. [Personally I believe Yhwach used his foresight to manipulate this situation into happening, he seemed to know the best words to used and suspiciously let Bazz-B live when he destroyed his entire family]
    - Sidenote: Kubo tends to make a duo with this opposing dynamic every major arc, and they always get the chance to fight. Byakuya/Renji, Ulquiorra/Grimmjow, and Haschwalth/Bazz-B
    - Sidenote 2: I feel as viewers we are meant to think of worth and how people use it, how it affects the relationships between people, especially Yhwach and his followers or Ichigo and Uryu.

Ywach saved Jugram from his uncle P.Diddy
So why would Jugram hate Ywach ?
Only Bazz had reason, and he was soo blinded by his hatred he Assumed Jugram must hate Ywach too.

The idea that Jugram’s loyalty to Yhwach was rooted solely in being “saved” from his uncle is an oversimplification. Yhwach’s actions were indiscriminate-his assault on the Quincy villages destroyed countless lives, including Bazz’s home and family. Jugram wasn’t spared because of Yhwach’s altruism; he was chosen because of his innate abilities as a special Quincy. Yhwach wasn’t a savior-he was a conqueror, and his motives had nothing to do with Jugram’s well-being.
Furthermore, the narrative doesn’t support the claim that Jugram viewed Yhwach as a savior. His silence regarding Yhwach’s actions doesn’t necessarily mean he agreed with or idolized him. Instead, Jugram was a deeply reserved character who often kept his emotions hidden. If anything, his loyalty to Yhwach stemmed from his role as the Emperor’s second-in-command and the unique connection they shared, not from a sense of gratitude.
Bazz, on the other hand, openly expressed his hatred for Yhwach because he saw the destruction firsthand. It’s possible Bazz assumed Jugram shared his hatred because of their shared past and common losses, but it’s equally true that Jugram didn’t voice any objection to Bazz’s goal for years. Jugram’s willingness to train and prepare alongside Bazz for their confrontation with Yhwach indicates at least some level of shared purpose, even if his personal feelings toward Yhwach remained more ambiguous.
The complexity of Jugram’s character lies in his quiet, internal struggles, and to reduce his loyalty to Yhwach to mere gratitude is to ignore the nuanced nature of his decisions and relationships. Bazz B isn't at fault.
