When I thought I lost files/ footage after a computer breakdown I took the hard drive to another computer WITH IT'S CABLES. It shows up as a LETTER like external drives do, and was able to drag files from it. As long as the motherboard has the same slots. Sometimes they don't and messing about with adapters from computer junk drawers helps. Other than that I can't see much I haven't seen or could imagine you haven't shown us. Great stuff!
I'm a computer technician by trade and have had no luck with recovery, it's a bad drive, thankfully I got most of the content created before the failure
leisure battery is designed to discharge at a slower rate, starter batteries are designed for a large power draw/dump all at once to get an engine going
