I find the best part of driving these little cars is that you are so engaged with the road that your brain is fully engaged with the act of driving. A great distraction. Thanks for the comment.
Enjoyed the ride - very interesting topography for someone down here in North Carolina. Would love to take my '70 B on this trip! Keep the MG videos coming!
Thanks Rick, North Carolina has some amazing geography as well, everything from oceans to mountains. Have driven through on the way to Hilton Head and Florida and have had few overnight stays. You must have some fantastic drives there.
Thanks Geoff. My grandmother used to work at West Lincoln Memorial and lived on Cherrywood Avenue for a while. Grimsby has changed a lot from my childhood memories but so has everything, still a very lovely Town. Park Road is a lovely drive.
Isn't it about time for a new video - enjoyed all your B videos (as a fellow B owner) and would like to see one more before you button her up for the winter season. Best seasonal regards from here in North Carolina - Rick
Hey Rick, it is about time. Honestly, I have not even had Iris out since the last video. Some familiy med issues. My brother-in-law is coming for a day trip on Wenesday so hopefully the weather holds for some top-down touring. I am working on a a survey video called "Who Are You" that may be out by end of week. Thanks for paying attention and motivating me.
I am pretty sure that they would be almost identical as they would have the same suspension, steering, brakes and the increased ride height that really affected their handling characteristics came in the rubber bumper era. Thanks for watching.
I enjoy your posts very much. I also live in the Niagara Peninsula, and travel the area in my '79 B (Dorothy) . This post is off topic, but I thought I'd give it a try. I 'm in need of a MGB mechanic, do you have any suggestions ?
I do not, this spring I reached out to Dr. Doolin Productions in Port Colborne who, by the way has excellent TH-cam videos on MGB repairs. Unfortunately he said that he no longer does shop repairs. He suggested contacting Welland Auto Pro (905-735-2847) but I decided to do the repairs myself. I had my regular mechanic do some work for passing the safety but have relied mostly on TH-cam for advice and have managed to bumble my way through most stuff. Let me know if you find someone good. Thanks for the comment.
Quite a good video! The question is; A sixties MGB or a new MX-5? I have both and I prefer the MG. In a drag race, a stopping or cornering contest, the MX-5 wins. For a comfortable mountain road cruise, I'd say that the MG wins hands down. It has more driver / passenger room than the MX-5. Like good music, the MG's rolling power seems more in rhythm with a narrow and winding country lane.
Thanks for letting us ride along……nice little circuit you have there …..
Safety Fast !

Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. I grew up about halfway up the escarpment on Park Road in Grimsby.

Thanks for sharing. Looks like a ball. I have a '64. I wonder if they drive much differently?

I don’t think that a more apt description of the joy of driving a MGB has ever been said. Thanks for that. Happy 😊
PS, I think I’ll make that into a sign and hang it in my garage.
I 100% agree.
