    Actually just got done playing double tap. I played it twice in 2 nights. Both nights I cashed out ahead. In for $500 out for $900. Although I didn't realize until this video I did it slightly wrong. I pressed 5/9 to $30 as well. But otherwise I did the double tap then did 1-unit press from there while mixing in hard ways on longer rolls. Love this strategy for how quickly you get out of a hand and still have opportunity to make more.

  • @SecularSpinach

    COOL! Glad I came across this 'DoubleTAP' strategy. I live in L.V. and play craps 4 times a week, and despite what the unending masses of Amateurs say - NO, it is NOT all about pure luck - and there are plenty of Sound/logical strategies to employ, which will time and again illuminate the old adage -- "FORTUNE FAVORS the PREPARED"!.
    This is really a good move and I'm going to use it at certain times in the game flow... It was mentioned that once a player hits the goal of a Second Hit on the 'Power Pressed' number, then they could choose either a conservative or more aggressive strategy - which of course is quite true. But personally, when I employ this - it will always be followed by an aggressive pressing strategy, and here is why I say that...
    With your initial Risk-Factor at either $44, $45 or $48 etc (depending on how many Power Presses were put down...) you are going to get plenty of quick Seven-Out's over the course of play. So what I am looking for here - the only purpose in fact of covering all these numbers - is to get that MONSTER ROLL that was mentioned. When this happens, it can cover all the previous losses and could easily make for a handsome profit if pressed up properly, and that should be (I hope) the end result that any player is aiming for. So now my personal technique will come in after the Risk-factor has been 'Zeroed'. BTW, Personally, I don't call it "playing with house money" or any of that stuff - If you initially put down $44 to cover the inside, then you are RISKING that amount - and simply put your "Risk-Factor" is 44 bucks!
    So going with the sequence of Rolls shown here, I worked out how handsomely an aggressive 'PRESS and PULL' strategy would have paid on this very roll. On the first shooter you lost the initial Risk-Factor (and that is exactly why you shouldn't play this with less than a $500 bank roll, as was mentioned. Period!) The score-card then starts off showing a minus-44 and on to next shooter. Now I'll start this with the 'OFF on the Come-Out' technique mentioned here, even though I'M VERY FLEXIBLE ON THAT! I'll be OFF on some LONGER rolls for the exact reasoning mentioned - but I would beg to differ a bit - that is, although some do - NOT ALL MONSTER ROLLS have 7's in the midst which just SO-HAPPENED to come right after the POINT made. For example, I had a beauty MONSTER ROLL just yesterday of 33 Roll's, AND simply with NO SEVEN in the midst! I don't even know how many points were made in there, because that was not my focus, but - Those Rolls happen too baby! Anyway, I mean when I see that many Six's and Eight's popping up and the POINT is constantly another Six or Eight - YES I would be ON during that TRENDING. -- and btw, a quick digression: YES Amateur's! there IS such a thing as "TRENDING" in this game, as any roll of the dice - as mentioned in the vid - is a 'One in Six' proposition for a SEVEN to show - BUT - the dice WOULD "Need a Memory " to follow an exact sequence of - 5 Non-Seven numbers - then SEVEN. Then 5 Non-Seven numbers - then SEVEN... infinitum.. etc. THEREFORE, for that 1 in 6 ratio to play out over a longer run (which it ALWAYS DOES!) some of the spacing's between SEVENS will be quite large, and some will be 1 or 2 rolls and out.
    ANYWAY, so here's the outcome of that hot 2nd roll with the aggressive "Press and Pull" strategy I will use. First roll after Come out is 6 - Throw in an extra $4 to Power Press it to $30 (Risk Factor is now $48-Jake!) Next Come out was 8, and I'm ON-John! for every roll thereafter! (Yes, SOMETIMES I will get 7-banged doing that, but many other times I simply will NOT be "Wasting Rolls" as was also wisely mentioned here) Next roll is Eight so I'm POWER PRESSED to $30 on both 6 and 8 and my RISK-FACTOR is now $52, Stu! Next roll - 6 Pop's, take the $35 payout bringing Risk Factor from 52 DOWN to $17, and I leave everything as is. Also again, the heck with OFF on C.O. in the midst of this "SIX and EIGHT Garden', as I call it. Next roll is eight for another $35, and that is the Game Changer b.c. now I'm at "Risk-Factor ZEROED", PLUS $18! Now In some instances I WOULD regress right after R.Factor = Z(+). But not here - I leave everything as is, or just tell the Dealer "Same Bet". And now starts the power of the PRESS and PULL strategy, ( Which is simply, THE next hit = full Press, THE following Hit = Pull down the full Payout, REPEAT) Let's Go: Roll is 8, Press to $60. Roll is 6, Press to $60 and take the 4 and 10 for $5 each.
    Roll is 10, add a buck and Power Press it to $15.
    Roll is 8, PULL DOWN the $70 payoff. -- Roll is 8, Press to $120. (Also, 'Rack Up' a $10 extra that was not 'Power Pressed', or take the 'RESIDUAL' as I call it - that's IF anyone is paying attention to this POWER-PLAY, Jay!)
    Roll is 6, PULL DOWN $70. -- Roll is eight, PULL DOWN $140. -- Roll is 8 (the 'POINT', which is NOT a factor to me now...), Press to $240! -- Again, "ON" on THIS fricking Come-Out (are you kidding?) and Roll is 8, so PULL DOWN your $280!.
    Next Roll is 6, Press to $120 (Rack Up a $10 'Residual') Roll is 5, Power Press it to a 'Quarter'. The 6 BANG's again, Pull down $140! Two Yo's come off, then the 8 Pops once more for a Press to a whopping $480, (from a starting R-FACTOR of about 50 bucks, right? That's why AGGRESSIVE strategy is for me!) and RACK THAT $40 Residual. Nice Payout if the 8 showed once more - but let's NOT join the "Woulda, Shoulda, Coulda" club, right? What a NICE roll, although I wouldn't classify this one as a 'Monster'! But you do the math (which I'm not going to do exactly right now) if you want to add it all up. But at a quick glance, the profit - AFTER subtracting the initial $44 loss for the first shooter - is roughly around the plus $550 to $600 range I'd say...
    Again, TY for this cool strategy which I'm definitely going to work into my existing Bag-of-Tricks...

    What do you feel is better? Double Tap strategy where pros: you have less invested up front and cons: takes longer to get out of the hands versus Normal Regressions where pros: you typically are out of the hand in two hits but cons: it costs more up front so quick seven out is scarier?

    they demonstrate a good array of strategies to employ, any of which are useful depending upon what's happening on your table at the time. the key to any winning session is being patient, waiting perhaps to recognize a trend and then capitalize on it. good stuff.

    • @aebalc
      @aebalc 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      "recognize a trend" is the exact same thing as "get lucky" Sadly, each roll is independent and random. Any "pattern" detected is just your brain trying to organize the chaos of a random universe. There is no pattern beyond the mathematical ratio's at work over the long term.

    • @phiberoptik232
      @phiberoptik232 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@aebalc yeah, sounds good. If fact, the random universe you speak of has an order called measures of central tendency as is relates to craps . The roll of dice 'over the long term' will follow a bell curve that's higher in the center and tapers as you go away from the middle, we agree, I think. It's not the 'long term' we're focused on when trying to capitalize on a trend. The implication of a trend is what happens in the short term and that's what we want to identify so we can come out ahead. There's a little bit of luck and guess work involved.

    • @ColorUp
      @ColorUp  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Trends exist, problem is they don’t help with decision on very next roll, as trend can switch immediately. Past results in that case aren’t really helpful for future decisions as the next roll is an independent event.

Another thing I like to do is, once I'm out on profit and the next hit pays me the $14, I add $6 to it and place the 4 and 10. This way I have all numbers covered as quickly as possible with little or no risk. And lastly, I really do enjoy your content, keep it going!

    it's interesting how I've heard you say it's not house's money it's YOUR money. It's important to remind yourself that when you win you are actually *covering your losses* from *losing sessions*. Who ever came in with $100 and came out with exactly $98.59? So whenever you press thinking it's houses money you are actually losing more money by betting bigger.
    And we all know that of course, I just liked how you say it's not houses money. I don't even think that was this video, I just heard you talk about house's money and thought of it.

      Yep, the creator prefers that, double tap into triple lux

      I gotta thank you though. Guys at Casino Quest are great but go SO fast. I just played for the first time this past weekend in Vegas. Watched your videos constantly before I went just to be comfortable and not look like a newbie. You explain things in an easy to understand way and then the "live action" really defines it. I did well playing conservatively. (Like a newbie! LoL) Ready to try some new stuff but because of you caught on quick. Great content and look forward to more!

    I'm going to either play this or the triple lux next time we go to the casino. Question about the bankroll. Would it be best to bring 10x the total investment until the 1st collect on a worst case scenario? For example, $5 table triple lux, everything is pressed up twice, $32 across became $56 invested before collecting. Would it be better to bring $560 min or would somewhere in between like $400 be fine?

      It’s just a general rule of thumb, with aggressive strategy you might want to be on lower end your comfortable with as you may lose it all. Many people like to play double tap, and then convert into triple lux.

      @@ColorUp I'll keep that in mind. I've tested the strat alot over the week and I see how well it works, but I've also seen it flop. 1 great hand can offset 9 bad ones plus more; high risk, high reward. One more quick question though. I took a look at your power press charts (very much appreciated), do casino allow notes like that to be placed on the rail or somewhere where I can have it in view when I need to refer to it (barring on the table obviously)?

    dge has better math than this one . too many numbers on table and their on table tooooo long .. bad things will eventually happen.. just do....

    Gotta be honest, pressing up to $30 is good but if you just keep it up, then it’s $35 every time it hits.

    • @ColorUp
      @ColorUp  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sure, and if you don’t regress down and a 7 shows, you are losing money on the shooter. Just depends how aggressive you want to be

      It sucks here because the only $5 table in a 2 hour driving distance is the one I deal at :(
      The other one is $10 table. Lol.

    One of the craziest 6,8 rolls I've ever seen and you still only came out with 90 profit? I think I should just quit playing Craps, we know who actually wins money and it isn't the players.

    No disrespect to those that suffer with this speech impediment, but man, you studdered way to much in this video! I mean, all I heard was 6, 6, 6, 8, 8, 8, 6, 6, 8, 8, 8!

  • @webstuff56
    @webstuff56 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    You consistently did not follow your strategy as you set out!!! The whole set of rolls you continued to build out the board while ignoring the eight I dont know how many times. Focusing in on the build up will return the biggest payouts while building out the table increases the risk for a seven-- Try the video over, actually following what you set out to do. Yeah, it was annoying to watch!

    • @ColorUp
      @ColorUp  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you misunderstood something. This strategy power presses whatever number is hit, and once hit for second time or “double tapped” all bets are regressed. It has nothing to do with the eight, if the eight does not hit, it is not pressed.
