Not just Filipino sometimes denies their thru heritage. In real world, a lot of Mexican's also denies that they are Mexicans, some of them said that they are Spanish becuase they greatgrandparents or whoever in their heritage is Spaniards, but they look 100% Mexican. So it is not just Filipino somewhat denies their heritage because they have 5% of blood from different heritage running through their vein. The Philippines is under the SEA with Thailand, Malaysia, and others. The famous Asian countries are China, South Korea and Japan. You ask Western people and 70-80 % would tell you those three. As a Filo myself, I'm used to it. Damn, Shay got bullied when she was in school as a kid. She used to eat her lunch in the bathroom. I know this because have followed her since Pretty Little Liar days and bought Candy Magazines as a teenager. Not to make an excuse for her, but perhaps the prejudice against the Filipinos still lingers in her circle and it's hard for business or maybe she got fried by other Filos already and she doesn't want to be bothered by the rest. The criminals in spain are sent to the country as a punishment for their crimes. If you claim spanish roots but was from the ph, your ancestors are most likely criminals, convicts if not priests (some w records commiting rap e to filipino women) or soldiers during war or a corrupt spain official who was sent to ph to maintain the spanish ruling.
