More than his songs, love his anecdotes. Very cheerful and honest with his words. Amit remains a talent which was not really tapped properly. He deserved a place much higher than that of Sanu likes.

its great to see how he maintains most of his voice at his age unlike any other singers of 90s , he mentioned earlier that he still feels like a teenager and that keeps his voice as fresh as he recorded them yesterday. An absolute living legend.
He started playback singing in mid 1970s, did great job in 80s decade, and then also sang many songs in 90s. So, he is senior to other famous 90s singers like Sanu, Udit, Abhijeet, etc.

When I studied in the primary school perhaps in the 70's I heard a bengali film song of yours i.e. "Chitkar Chenchamechi Mathabyatha, Hullor Hoichoi Byastota, Eai Niye Holo Kolkata !" from the bengali film 'HANGSARAJ' whose music director was Sudhin Dasgupta. There after perhaps 4 decades were passed away. But you almost are as same as you were. Amar personally 'Epar bhange opar gore version ta besi bhalo lage. '. Another one 'Daure kiza tha ' from Sabbash Dady, 'Kishore Kumar's' amar moner mayur mohole, Amit Kumar didn't get justice from public. Shadowed by his father's fame. It's my personal view only. I'm also a die hard fan of both.
