I found the place by the Lisence plate and opened the trunk. Keep up the good work.

Finally made an appointment to go to dealer, then I just happen to click on your video, I wasn't even paying attention until you mentioned the valet button. Thank you. It worked for my 2008 IS250. I was very confused wondering what happened. I tried to manually reset my system but that didn't work. Then I TH-cam it your video popped up and u saved me. Was going to take it to the dealership where I am pretty sure they would've over charged me to do what you just did. Thanks 🙏
Wow, I have had a lexus es330 for two years and I have been thinking that the problem is related to fuse in the relay fuse box. I didn't even know that there is a trunk switch in the glove box. After I watched this video I just went and opened glove box and pushed the button in and magic! Trunk release now works. Thank you so much.
You are my hero- who knew there was a little button in the glovebox!!! I was just preparing to tear the liner out and start working on the mechanism. I’ll buy you a beer some day.

This helped!! I first tried the key to manually open the trunk and it did, next, I checked the trunk button in the glove compartment (it was not pressed- so I pressed it) & tried the key fob + trunk button in the car & both worked!! Thank you for posting your process!! ❤ God Bless You 😊
God damn it. I was wiring my sub and I had to go through my glove department and now that you mentioned that button I pressed it. Once I was finished I was wondering why my trunk wasn’t opening and was about to do a diagnosis. Thank you.
This video was EXTREMELY helpful! I just bought an '09 IS350 and thought that I was already going to have to replace parts. In my case I believe closing the glovebox too quickly disengaged the trunk valet button inside of the glovebox. Thank you to the original user who posted the video!
Well hot dog! This actually worked! All I did was push the valet button "IN" and the button on the remote still wouldn't work...but the button by the steering column did work & opened the trunk, after opening & closing it the button on the remote now works & opens the trunk. Thanks for taking the time to make the video...this was for my Lexus GS 350

Thanks for the tip about the boot (trunk) lock. My trunk (boot) was locked and would not open with the remote. Just checked my car (2006 Lexus IS250) and found the valet switch in the glove compartment. It was switched off (in position) so pressed it and it popped out to the "off" position, and hey presto, the boot (trunk) opened using the remote control. Did not know there was a keyhole in the lid and that you can unlock using the key, but will remember that. We call the Trunk, the boot here in Australia! Thanks again for your helpful video clip.

OMG!!!!!! Your video is a lifesaver! I had the same think happen to me today on my 2010 is250c. I could not open my trunk and was thinking I was about to have an expensive repair on my car. For some reason, I did a search and you video popped up. I think I hit the valet button cleaning out my glovebox and never realized there was a valet button (good to Know) I also didn't realize there was a manual key insert under the trunk lid (good to know). Oh God life savior!! Earlier today I was trying to put my sunglasses box in the glove box and it got stuck exactly on that side where the vallet button is . I had no clue this freaking button existed 😂😂😂

THANK YOU MISS WHITNEY!!! Never had any issues with the Lexus trunk EVER. Unitl I took it to Pep Boys to get a tire installed. An hour after I left Pep Boys I tried to open the trunk and ...nothing. Even though fob battery worked for door locks, I tried putting a new battery ( silly I know) and still nothing. Thank goodness for the TH-cam experts like Ms Whitney, because I probably would've e taken the car back to Pep Boys who would've charged me fix the mess Pep Boys mechanics made in the first place. I'm through with horrible service I typically get at that place and car ends up worse than when I brought to them. I' m going to TH-cam FIRST before I go to any mechanic from here on out. Get hella lot better help and the price is right too : )
Nn Bb I had a buggy full of groceries when mine stopped working. Totally frustrated when I got home . Looked on you tube couldn’t find anything. Started trouble shooting from there. Decided to make a video once I figured it out . I’m glad it helped you . Can’t trust businesses to not rip you off.

I had no idea about the key lock in the boot or the button in the glove box and had read my handbook thoroughly!

Thank you it helped me my button had to be pushed in, I accidentally released it when retrieving some papers from inside the compartment.
