I agree to your assessment of the smasher vs T29. I had a game wherein the T29 out-traded a smasher -or maybe the player in the smasher wasn't a good player
if its hulldown only, its not that easy for smasher to pen t29 turret(its still very penable if you sit stationary with t29), so if that smasher had a brain he should have left the hull down engagement, and go shoot your teammates instead, until you go out of your hulldown spot. Smasher is really fun though, thats the big part, its derpy like kv2, but its reliably derpy and also is guided by stalin.
Smasher was definitely a terrible player. Either he has more than 1 iq and spams HE which would just outtrade the t29. Or he is a good player and spams heat and just destroy him completely

It was the most terrifying tank when it first arrived, then a bit later the Annihilator took the honors. Now for 10K gold, it’s going to oversaturate the tier.
I just played 3 games in Smasher and i think it is amazing, a lot of damage and the accuracy feels great. Very happy with this one. I also got the 07RH and it is the best tank i played in a long time, absolutely fantastic, would reccomend
I can tell you've only played three games when you say the accuracy feels great. Trust me buddy that tank does not have good accuracy, someone with over 200 battles in it. The gun depression is awful and penetration against tiger tanks is difficult. Good luck out there
Ugh, the Smasher, I got it just a fee months ago for about 15k gold in a "Draw", I don't li"e those Draws at all, but this one was worth every penny lmao. I would not say it is totally overhyped, it is still definitely OP, but in the right hands, only good players can really do good in it as it is not an easy tank to drive, but it is a ridiculous one! You sometimes hit shots you should not, and the HE potential is just nasty! It has become my "chill out tank" these last couple weeks. One more thing, WG just ruined the tiers system, some years ago to be at Tier 7 and Tier 8 you may need certain experience in the game, even when the first battle pass tanks took off Tier 6 it was still somehow enjoyable, but nowadays Tier 5 suck, it is like Tier 3 from 3 years ago, T6 sucks just the same way, and many T7 players also suck! Also T10 has more n00bs than ever, all the boosters and XP WR gives away nowadays is, imho and somehow, ruining the game and the MM.

Smasher is a good tank but people shouldn't buy it thinking its op. The gun hurts yeah and the armour is a little troll sometimes but overall its not that bad if you know what you are doing and most ppl with the tank are noobs so just kind of annoying at this point

The most annoying smasher players are when they are low tier and stay behind their heavies, with just the top of the turret exposed. You notice them just in time to take a minimum of 300 damage.
Agree with your overview of the Smasher. It can be a lot of fun ( if you had a good team or playing against a bad team) but it is definitely overhyped.
