@alainportant6412 It's the mall from Left 4 Dead 2. As far as I can tell this was made in source engine, which would explain that, but something about the lighting and animations feels a little different to me. Can't put my finger on it though.
i noticed people talking about the references to Drive 2011, Baby Driver, and the Dead Center ending from L4D2, but not a lot of pointing out of the jacket and fingerless gloves Niko put on making him look more like Sasha from Behind Enemy Lines 2001 (who is a part of Niko's character inspiration), there's a decent amount of pop culture references in this that are seamlessly placed within an already good animation, so gotta give some extra credit to that
But that well-known reference is within the game already and not something created for this animation. Niko here puts on a Russian Ushanka too so it's unlikely the creator went for that look anyways

He really did stay true to the original theme and I like how you added 'logic' there. Absolutely. OP created a very grounded reality, reminiscent of the logic which would've been applied in a movie like 'Drive'. You're escaping and preventing yourself from going away to prison. There are very real life consequences to your actions. Im glad he kept it more Micheal Mann than Micheal Bay. An over the top cop chase scene would've been more on the GTA V side.
DUDE.. as a game dev and former animator I have to say this is another level of perfect :D if it is all ported into blender + everything animated by one person it sure took a chunk of time but it was worth it.

The cinematography in this is actually really really good. The occasional shaky cam (but not too often), the building of tension when he was starting the car (rear view mirror peak is golden!!), the slight Dutch angles, the tracking shots - it all works with the narrative so well

This looks just awesome. At first I thought it would be some funny animation, but when the chase started I just hung there without taking my eyes off. The tension and coolness of the moments are just off the charts.
They use Blender, I am guessing, but it's definitely not SFM. SFM doesn't support ray tracing, and the sky effect at the start, how it's handling lighting, and the Liberty City Mall font all suggest Blender. How the cars move looks a lot like RBC | A Physics-Based Vehicle Rigging Addon for Blender, too. Although it could be Maya, I doubt that.

After that ridiculous stunt with the column and the escalator at 1:13 I half expected all three of those policemen to do the same exact move and I would be lying if I said I was left disappointed when they did not. Really compelling animation. Any way to give people and their clothes less of a plastic sheen would go a long way though.

You are confusing GTA SA with IV. There's no quick entry and exit from Pay n Spray on GTA IV. It takes 6 hours for the painting process to complete.
