:::Valley of the Pools:::
The spectacular Zimbali Valley of the Pools is an idyllic beachfront setting embraced by lush indigenous coastal forest and a favourite day time venue for Zimbali residents and visitors. The main access to the Zimbali beach is positioned next to the The Valley of the Pools Clubhouse, which serves light meals and drinks.
:::Beach Activities:::
Zimbali is perfect for spending lazy days on a pristine beach of golden sand and azure ocean waters. It is perfect for surfing and kite-surfing, and offers great shore fishing or sea kayaking. Playful schools of dolphin are often spotted just off the breakers. Regrettably no swimming due to no shark nets.
:::Game Walks:::
The joy of being surrounded by nature and watching bushbuck within yards of your patio, monkeys at play in your front garden, rare butterflies flutter by, a myriad of small colourful birds actively chirping in the forest canopy overhead, is a memorable quality that draws visitors to Zimbali. The opportunity to walk freely around the various areas of the Resort and to literally touch nature seems to rejuvenate the mind and soul.
:::Bird and Butterfly Watching:::
As a protected environment, the Resort is home to a wide variety of birdlife and magnificent butterflies. Enjoy the splendour of this subtropical forest with a brisk walk or a leisurely stroll. You may encounter a shy antelope along the way.
:::Golf:::
The existing 18 hole par 72 championship Tom Weiskopf designed golf course, is rated as one of South Africa's finest golfing experiences. It has a well stocked Pro shop, driving range, half-way house and putting greens. For bookings contact 032 538 1041.
:::Walking/Running Trails:::
The Resort offers nature trails, lengthy walks or runs within a safe and pristine environment, and an extensive internal road network which allows walkers/runners to create their own trails and set their own limits. A joggers tap is located at the West Gate for your convenience. Trails are demarcated on the map overleaf.
Please be aware that there are poisonous snakes on the Resort.
:::Bushbuck Club & Bushbuck Pools:::
The Bushbuck Clubhouse, adjacent to the Fairmont Zimbali Resort, includes four tennis courts, two squash courts and a kick-about field. Two pools (adult & children) with water slides are located at the Bushbuck Pools. A further two floodlit tennis courts are also located opposite the Zimbali Country Club.
