Welcome to BookTube. I never read much horror as I was scared to death when I read one of those horror pulp magazines at night when I was a kid. lol. But I enjoy those old kind of horror stories like Dracula and Frankenstein. For the GarbAugust readathon I recently read 20 great horror stories that have stories by for example Edgar Allen Poe and Guy de Maupansant which I liked very much. Although I don't think of the writers who are in this book as trashy writers but it was the closest I could come with the paperbacks from hell theme.

Welcome to BookTube. I found you thanks to MJ at Reading This Life. The Shining is fantastic. When I saw that you were ranking horror and then I saw the “rabbit” and “rabbit ears” I thought for sure you were going to mention Bunny by Mona Awad. A dark academia horror that I appreciated more after it all sunk in. 😊💙

Bunny is on my to read, I was a bit apprehensive towards it cause of animal cruelty but people said it's good so I'll give it a go eventually :) and yes The Shining is the best!
