This is the initial dance piece from “Ashtapadi,” a dance presentation by Sherin George and students performed at “Kovaiyil Thiruvaiyaaru” cultural festival organized by Mark1 Events, Coimbatore.
“Ashtapadi” is based on excerpts from “Gita Govinda” composed by Jayadeva, a 12th century Sanskrit poet. Ashtapadis describe the beauty of Lord Krishna, the divine romance between Krishna and Radha, and Krishna’s leelas with the gopis.
