Hola! Well, I'm a few days late watching this video - once again. 😊 Anyway, I watched it with my after-dinner maple flavored coffee on this Tuesday night, and it was great! (the video I mean, but the coffee was pretty good too) 😁 Lots of great stuff in this video - with one amazing highlight! Before the big highlight though, I loved the golden color of all those buildings, especially in the afternoon sun. The beautiful, big, wooden doors everywhere, the wrought iron gates and lamps. The Plaza is beautiful, of course. The Italianate style is amazing. Liked the shadow at 8:18. I see the GoPro! I loved the 4 church bells on each tower of Santa Maria church. Must be beautiful when they ring those bells. And I noticed spotlights pointing at the towers with the bells. Must be very pretty at night all lit up. It was beautiful inside too. We got a little peek at the chapel on the side, with some type of service going on - I saw some people and an altar boy - I think. And two fans going full speed too! It was July. 😁 Now, on to the incredible Sacra de Pillar del Salvador. Wow! That was just amazing. (great transition going in and out btw.) From ceiling to floor, it's a work of art. I noticed the big gates separating the altar area. Never seen that before. Well, when I was younger, we had small gates or railings to separate the altar area, but they took them all down over the years. Anyway, into the altar - wow. The sculptures and statues are incredible. And so much gold everywhere! I think I could spend an hour right there just looking at all the artwork. What a special place. The little fish at the end were a nice surprise! And the closing shot - beautiful landscape. Orchards of some kind out there. Oh, I forgot to mention the orange trees earlier too. 🙂 Very nice one, enjoyed it!

Many times I have to quickly review my tours before uploading them. As you say, the Sacra Capilla is undoubtedly the most outstanding building in Úbeda, interior is even more impressive than exterior. The building was built as a pantheon for Francisco de los Cobos, who was the king's personal secretary (at that time King Carlos I was possibly the most powerful person in the world... How things have changed since then!!😄), in other words, this secretary was a very, very rich man. This richness is reflected in all the decoration of the temple, in fact in this temple there was (I think it is in a museum now) the only sculpture by Michelangelo in Spain. You are right, this separation from the altar is not very common. I don't know if these big gates have always been there, but it is possible that the reason is that it is a temple built by a person to use it as his pantheon, it was done that way to separate his family from the rest of the people ( if you noticed, there are a few benches on the other side of the gates). It's just my assumptions, I don't know exactly why. You are right too, color of the buildings at that time of the afternoon is more beautiful. It is for this reason that I like to film at sunset more. Although this time it was almost an obligation due to the extreme heat throughout the day (luckily it's not so hot now 😄). Regarding this heat, I arrived at this town around 5 pm, at that time I was the only person on the street, everything was deserted and most of the shops were closed, it was not until sunset that people began to go out to the street. It is something normal in the Andalusian towns during the summer but that surprised me a lot. Although while I was filming, as you can see, everything was very quiet, if I had filmed a couple of hours before, absolutely no one would have appeared on this tour. I agree with you, Santa Maria church is very beautiful ( whole square is very beautiful illuminated at night). While I was filming I noticed that people were heading inside, so I decided to improvise and go in too, I didn't want to bother and I didn't know if they would let me film during mass so I just went in as far as the entrance. By the way, you are very observant about the chapel and the orange trees 😉👍 Regarding the landscape at the end of the tour, it is not well appreciated in the video but they are olive trees, this region is very popular for its olive oil. Olive groves stretch across the landscape. I also have another tour to Baeza pending, which is close to this town and is also a World Heritage City. In that video you can better see how extensive the olive groves are. Thank you very much for your visit as always. By the way, I have seen your last bike tours, I really liked the image quality, it is very stable. As soon as I have a little more time I will write a comment giving my impression. See you!!
