    Thanks Jeff & Wilma, love your videos. It's wonderful having people who share their expertise in growing as well as the recipes for using the produce. I moved from South Australia to Hervey Bay. Growing conditions soooo different. I will be watching all your videos. Best wishes.

    You sent me some of you Dragon Fruit cuttings. I was abit slow on giving them a trim. But now that I have they have really taken off, Sprouting from all over the tops AND we have our very first fruits on each of our verities. I can not wait to see what we get next year.
    Glad to see you are both keeping well. Much Love Xxx Vicki & Jason.

    Hi Jeff, hope you both and your garden are ok after Cyclone Debbie passed through. Lot of flooding down our way, Logan, Yatala, Gold Coast and Tweed. We were fortunate mostly heavy rain, about 400mm in two days. Been cleaning up for the last two days, lost power overnight but we were very lucky. Hope you have been just as fortunate. Jen

    how do u make the finely grated crystalized ginger? I raise my own ginger here in the southern USA & I like watching your videos:) I am 71 and raise most of my stuff in containers so I can keep my huge oak trees. I also make my own soil but I sure would appreciate it if you could let me know how to do the finely grated crystalized ginger.

      BK I was watching another one of jeff's vids and someone asked him a similar comment, this is his reply, hope it helps!
      I peel the ginger & keep the peel to use in lemongrass tea. Then slice the ginger about 1-3 mm thick. For 500 grams of ginger, I cook it in 5 cups of water & boil it for 15 minutes. Then I take it off the heat & add 3-5 cups of sugar, then blend it with a stick blender. I put it back on the stove & bring it to the boil, then reduce to a simmer for 30 minutes. All I do then is strain it. The liquid is ginger syrup & the rest is what I call "finely grated crystallized ginger"

    Absolute genius! I am attempting to grow passion fruit at the moment, currently waiting on germination. I don't know that I will ever get those results in the UK, but I'll give it a go. My son eats the fruit as they are, but I was looking for other ideas, not just my default of topping for panna cotta, compote or the like. I love ginger, so the drink idea appealed to me. This video is great, giving people ideas of what to do with the bountiful harvest situation. Out of interest, how long do the fruit store at room temp?

      Una verdadera delicia edad bastante trabajo hay que pelar totalmente la cáscara dura y con la parte blanca se pone a guisar y se le cambia el agua dos veces luego se vuelve a cocinar con azúcar y unos clavos de olor deja cocinar hasta que esté blandita la cáscara blanca y queda maravilloso

    • @josefagonzalez929
      @josefagonzalez929 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Me gustaría que probaran está receta porque aunque da trabajo el pelar el maracuyá es verdaderamente una delicia y se aprovecha todo mejor que el maracuyá es grande y todavía no esté muy arrugado para que cuesten menos pelarlo
