Hi Carlo, and thank you for an honest review. And I totally agree - I would love an option not to have in my Amati kits 90% of smaller details ( since I remake them anyway ). In most cases keel, ribs and materials would be sufficient for me. Also when working with Amati’s keel and bulkheads the modeller has to take care about how flat the plywood is. Very often it has certain curvature which needs to be discovered from the start and then corrected during the assembly.
Looks like a nice kits from Amati. I hope you are considering building it! I'm a mid level beginner and working very, very slowly on their Fifie. Even that Fifie kit has PE and other details, some of which are not great such as the oversized hatch rings and the pilot house roof and door both of which I've changed. I also agree with you about no sails for a couple reasons - first, they hide lots of detail plus often look 'wrong' and second, no "action" figures. Who ever saw a fully sail set ship without sailors - except maybe the Mary Celeste 'ghost ship'.
Hello ,for me I will hesitate not long for a box for a montage with a plan or a box, the advantage of a box what is practically everything and it will remain to make a scratch can (super the box for me because I have to order everything through the net on the continent) with a plan it’s the pleasure to make everything and find all the good materials, so spend a lot of time looking for the stuff. Otherwise eager to see this montage.

Exactly! I assemble Santa Maria from Amati kit now… And as with previous kits I love the quality of their planks, the rest - is self produced ;)
