Idk something about the trunks on Supes and Bats just seems right to me... (Like you said its always been that way) So I guess it's like comfort food to me personally. That being said my favorite batsuits are Rebirth, new 52, and Batman Inc. all of those ditch the trunks
Batman doesn’t need the trunks at all but I feel that Superman does need them. It’s not really a matter of wearing undies or not it’s a matter of breaking up the design, like the modern designs are just too much blue and the red doesn’t work nearly as well without the yellow accents of the belt.
Booster Gold is actually… yellow. At least in the comics he is. Later they added a orange tone to the yellow probably to give him a more golden look but this version of the McFarlane figure is the classic one from the 90s so if you want to be truthful to the character, yellow it is.
With the underwear, it depends on the costume. I love it on the classic black and grey, Neal Adams, or Hush suits, but if a new modern suit design comes out with it on, it'll look kinda stupid imo. Right now Batman has them on because he went back to his old suit after Catwoman cancelled their wedding while he wearing the Rebirth suit.
I agree with the trunks debate why does only Batman and Superman go back to the trucks? I love the rebirth and the New 52 suits and I hope we get those figures soon as well as I hope Dc finally sticks to their guns and keeps Batman and Superman modern. Bring back the rebirth suits or Batman’s new 52 suit
One question, so for superman when you swapped the legs did you have to do any modifications on the legs or did you just swap the lower legs with heat?
It’s fine if the universe is set in the past like JL new frontier but if we’re being asked to believe that a guy chose to put underwear on the outside of his vigilante outfit in the year 2010 or more recent then no, wouldn’t happen. So yeah, it just doesn’t fit with the modern 21st century setting in my opinion.
I finally got Owlman and power ring. Todd is pushing out classic characters left and right. I’m still catching up on characters. I had recently got deathstroke rebirth, Todd really killed that figure. I need Godspeed, manbat, bane, nekron, general zod, and kid flash ish. Also, Deadman release is Jan. 8th 2023. Btw did you see the release of superboy and the others. Also, we’re getting Kalibak from Darkseid War, Teen Titans baf wave, a Bart Allen fig, Catwoman knight fall, Duke Thomas. My bad again for making read this again. Shoutout to NYbackyardlegend he did a custom of booster gold

That is the McFarlane page punchers Lee bermejo Batman with the McFarlane grim knight head on it. I also painted the body gray because it was originally an olive green.
I actually prefer the classic designs but I hope Todd does both

Batman’s best suit was new 52, Supe’s was his 2nd rebirth suit.
