I keep eyeing the fungarium. We just got the oceanarium and it's amazing. I still love to kill a mockingbird. We are going to have to read that one!

A wonderful movie to go along with your book Elephant in the Garden is Zoo. Its based on a true story of 3 misfit friends who hid a baby elephant in the backyard of a lonely windows backyard during the Belfast Blitz.

I think little house is much more suited for watching - that way they can see how everything was back then, you would miss too much in the books.

The ‘spirals’ book has been on my list for a long day! Would you please share what lesson plan you develop - very interested in this - I just don’t know what or how!
    Thank you

So many great books! We LOVE the 3 Thorton Burgess books you picked up. We finished the bird book this year and we're reading the animal one now, which we will pause for the summer to dive into the Seashore book for the summer. Thank you for sharing.

Why do you choose to buy books instead of borrowing from the library?

When you buy books you get to live in a library, you get to go back to that book as often as you want whenever you want. Many books also hold memories, I have 5 kids aged between nearly 10 and nearly 28 years old, when I was going through my bookshelves putting together my youngest sons curriculum so many memories came flooding back of my oldest son being obsessed with some of these books, and asking me "mum, can you quiz me on it now - here's the quiz list, make sure you don't ask me in order so you know I haven't just memorized the answers". I have heaps of books that my library service doesn't have.

Pre read Catcher in the Rye. It's not appropriate and completely overrated.
