So glad that Demolition Man has grown in its cultural appeal over the years. I had it on good ol' VHS back in what they called "the day" and it was one of my favorite Stallone movies for the longest time. I just never thought very many people cared for it too much because it was a very tongue-in-cheek action movie that got lost in the shuffle back in the 90's.
Glenn Welsh I am Not a Stallone fan so that is my favorite Stallone movie - sci fi is my favorite genre plus it has humor and it’s classic fish out of water
I remember when the Demolition Man came out Taco Bell had the Demolition Man Meal. It was I think a small nacho, a taco with extra beans and a soft shell taco wrapped on the outside, cinnamon twist and a soda. I was broke, working part time, going to school and living in a run down motel. It was the perfect meal at like $3.99 to fill me up as my primary meal all summer. Good times.
Over the Top is my favorite underrated Hugh Jackman movie. You know, the one that is literally exactly Over the Top, only instead of arm wrestling it's robot boxing, and instead of "getting an advantage from a slightly different hand position" the main guy "gets an advantage from teaching his robot to actually fight".
I cannot believe you left the absolutely underappreciated jewel that is 1981's NIGHTHAWKS. This movie also starred Rutger Hauer in his first American movie appearance. The ending of that movie is absolutely amazing. I would definitely include it in the top 10 Sly movies of all time.
THese are all great. I think if you also want a movie that was really good and underrated you could look at Stallone's movie 'Daylight' with Amy Brennamen. Although the ending was a little far fetched, it was really good.
Oscar is definitely one of my favourite movies, mostly because of Tim Curry's performance, but Stallone does a good job in it too. And a movie you didn't mention, but I had quite some fun with: Stop or my mom will shoot.
I feel like reviewers don’t review films properly especially action, Rambo the one set in Burma was awesome but odeon refused to show it as they said it was terrible

I got Over the Top for my birthday when I was about 13. My little sister and I watched it a dozen times. We had lots of inside jokes about it.
