Idk if you realised but the guys working with us were the Loan Shark in s1 who were onto us at the horse race game. Also it's crazy how well Squid Game utilitises actor Gong Yoo so well. He literally appears for such a short time in s1 and he left such a strong impression and even this ep, we haven't seen him much but his performance was like a masterclass. It's crazy cuz I feel like he shines here even more than in his own projects where he's the main cast. The ep was crazy but still that performance was insane.

I saw you uploaded the first episode reaction and panic binged the whole series in the last day and a half so I could watch with you. 😅
I loved the silliness of the gangsters, with their wee selfies and enthusiasm, they just seemed so endearing. Like normally gangsters are the bad guys, but they're just normal folks here.
They did such a good job with building the relationship between the boss and the second guy, like "you've got a wife at home" blah blah, "I officiated your wedding" and the back and forth between them. I was traumatised to see them forced to play against eachother, and then to see the boss make a selfless act (that is the opposite of everything the games stand for). They acted it so well. And Gong Yoo?! Holy balls, he's so good at being an absolute psychopath. I'd love to see him do more roles like that because it was unhinged.
The way the first episode had me STRESSED!!!!! I can’t wait for the next episodes!

Whoaaaaah Caitlin the background...I am loving how the setup looks with the greenscreen. Also Gong Yoo (the actor who plays the recruiter and the guy from Train To Busan & the Trunk) I love him as an actor he is so good. This is such a different role for him, he usually does a lot of romance type roles, but I think he did sooo good as this dark unhinged character, hopefully we get to see more roles like this from him.

did u figure out the rock paper scissor game caitlyn?? just wanna add salt to the wound to those who didnt understand 😂😂 bqsically just the normal way to play but with two hands, it can be different hands; one scissor, one paper, or both with the same hand. each player will then take one hand off the table and the hand that is left is the hand u play with. and in the last round of their game, one player had two rocks, and the other had scissor and paper, so it was up to the latter if he saves his own life or his opponent's. but he choose not to pick instead...
FR he only was able to keep so much of his humanity because of luck, i feel like otherwise he would have broken

&I still don't get it Gi-hun motivation to go back/or and hire thugs and waste his money for those. Like what if he won't find that recruiter &his money gone by playing thugs? Bruh, gong you kinda right thou, its player choice to play/enter the game. What he should do was put up a business, build his own home, support his child, give money to sang woos mother and saboek brother and get his therapy.
Also, still accepting playing with the recruiter at episode 1, doesn't make sense. He has a plan to stop the game yet play game that will still kill him immediately.
