If you're ever stuck using your phone again there's certain apps such as roadlords which are made for trucks, you can put in measurements and weights and it will divert you from low bridges/weight restrictions
Doesn’t really work for hgv’s tho, you need proper Garmin or TomTom navigation systems that could also happen to be quite faulty at times unfortunately, I have a Tom
Tom professional and can’t always fully trust it

@tommasofriz2339 I've used it pulling double deckers, no problems even with diversions. Uses the tomtom maps and has the same layout. I've got a garmin 770 and plays up with diversions

Quick helpful note for people who have to drive Renault trucks like you’ve had to. To change from kph to mph press the menu button on the steering wheel then scroll down to units and select mph. I had no clue either till someone showed me at work. Just trying to spread the knowledge.

just stumbled on your channel, broght back memories of being a kid and going with my dad on short trips. he was hgv class 1 and no pwer steering in those days, delivery was hand ball and tarps and rope to secure the loads

I did 6 months of class 1 tipper driving and I called it a day. Lorry driving is a life style, not a career. Hours are awful and the stress isn't worth it.

You need to get into DHL man. They pay you to sit on your arse, always give you plenty of time to complete your runs and you’re home before officially finished fully paid

good stuff, im 3 years in and still enjoying it although the hours are crazy. between 60-70 hours a week. luckily i need the money atm so i dont mind. all the best, hope you past first time as its gets expensive.... trust me i know lmao

Don’t do it if you want a life, it’s not a job it’s a lifestyle I did wide loads, stgo, general haulage, steel, palletised, tankers, tippers, walking floors, fridge got all the experience you could want but I quit when my kids were forgetting who I was I’m now a sparky loving life, clean job good money and lots of time 👍 wish you the best tho

I spent many years driving and operating Lohr 100s, Rolfos and TE11+ transporters. There would be zero time to film on such a job.
It is well paid but seriously seriously non stop hard graft. And not for the light hearted.
Car transportation is easy !!!!!!!

@@SirCodezyy link one. I did the job for decades and unless things have changed it is not a job that gives the driver any sort of time to use cameras etc. On top of which in the majority of loading yards, ports etc. filming is prohibited.
Ps i am talking UK using one of the three models I mentioned above.
Not US or elsewhere as that is not what is being discussed.
Co-pilot is a great back up, I've got it on a monthly subscription just in case I forget my sat nav.
Don’t even use a sat nav 😂😂😂 I actually rely on my co pilot and it’s reliable so far
