These days it's hard to get a tier mounted. Walmart won't any more. Garage places charge a fortune. Do it yourself . Love this .sharing info ppl need to know.
Find a used tire shop. There’s tons of them everywhere. They’ll usually do it for about 5 or 10 bucks. Even balance it. Usually in and out in a few minutes.
If you put that wheel upside down you'll avoid scratching rim edge, at least the one that is visible. Alternatively you can put some plastic (like PVC tube) on that part to avoid any damage.
Very good thanks..I don't think you mentioned ensuring that the bead on the other side of the tyre [underneath] should be kept in the wheels recess, this could be overlooked and make the job much harder
It does not work when fitting a new tyre, the long bar wants to rotate and slips away from the tyre. I'll have to modify the whole thing. I've had a proper Corghi for 20 years but gave it to a friend when I retired so I thought I'd give this one a try since, I can't even fit a 205 55 16 with this contraption let alone my Porsche competition ones of those racing days 😃
After mounting the new tire, would small tire inflators work to inflate the new tire? Or does this need big and strong compressor inflators? In other words, what kinds of tire inflators can inflate tires after mounting them in this manual way?

They don,t work like that steel 15 inch or 16 inch wheels . the part that breaks the tire seal bends making it useless. save your money and avoid this tool

It can be done with a small tire inflator but you need to make an airtight seal with both beads, which can be difficult
Did you make this? Did you buy this?
I bought it
