That is my very first camera when my lifelong passion to photography started 46 years ago! I have taken some of the very best photos with that so it is not the camera but photographer that matters (although good camera can help)! Long way from that to Olympus PRO that I'm using now!
I have Cosmic Symbol version of this camera and love it. 40mm is my favourite focal length. I also have a Ricoh 35ZF point and shoot with a really good 40mm F2. 8 Rikenon lens. Super sharp with zone focus, a built in meter manual and automatic settings.
I suppose you have arctic days and nights that last well beyond the normal 12 hours. Beautiful scenery. It is and education using old cameras. And using film. Great photos.
Nie rozumiem tego, wychowałem się w Polsce, moje dzieciństwo przypadało na stan wojenny, mieliśmy do dyspozycji tylko te gówniane ruskie aparaty. Miałem smienę 8m i villię auto. Każdy marzył o Canonie, Nikonie a wy podniecacie się tym gównem. To jest nie do pojęcia.
Well, the thing is, I expected it to be a shitty camera, but to my surprise it is not actually bad. With proper technique it performs quite well, considering it is a 50 year old entry level camera. Now, I can understand if one is frustrated when that is the only thing available.

Definitely! It' a good camera to start with thanks to the manual settings!

yeah I really like the Smena cameras, and I have shot some more rolls with it since! The Ricoh 35ZF looks nice, maybe I will find one some day!
you live in a very scenic place with such beautiful light ! the photos turned out pretty good .
Thanks! But the scans aren't that good quality, so don't look too closely! 😂 Winter made it really beautiful here, so I was lucky in that way!

Yes it gets very dark in winter, but I'm so happy its getting light again! Thanks for watching!
@@mikaelrphoto Yes, Spring your part of the world now, Autumn here, but still warm.
I've just found this camera at my grandparents' house. I'm so excited I hope it works well!
Awesome! Mechanically it's a very simple camera so it's likely it works!
@@mikaelrphoto Yes, Soviet engineering is good but simple, so they all work after 40 years
I remember playing with one of those as a child. I still have the camera :)
Awesome!
Does the aperture have to be fixed for a given film or can I change it for different lighting conditions with different photos?
The aperture can be changed at any time
My first camera but 'fI found it completely unusable and switched to Konica c35.
yeah this camera definitely isn't user friendly!
I found same cam in my grandparents home ... From india ...and also i have flash
Nice! Were these common in India?
i bought one of these cameras two years ago and been too scared to use it !

Этой камеры вполне достаточно, чтобы делать семейный альбом.
