Thanks man, you saved my brisket. I went out this morning to start a brisket and all I got was "open open open" I had a bit of a panic but your video came up first thing and 15 minutes later my brisket is smokin.

It has worked well for me. The only one I think bypassing could be an issue for is the top of the firebox. I'm considering replacing the plunger switch with a toggle. That way on long cooks I don't get a hot ash in the face. The others I agree are not necessary. Thank you for watching!

My lid switch died in the middle of cooking $70 of steaks, so I bypassed all three so that never happens again!!

I considered bypassing the other two but decided due to the weather to just address the lid switch for now. Glad to hear that bypassing the others is worthwhile. Nothing worse than an interrupted cook! Thank you for watching!
