@kodyscrazyy The clutch never gets used when on the track. We have special transmissions that allow us to up and downshift without it. The tapping you're seeing is the driver tapping the brakes before entering a brake zone. This sets the brake pads and creates a harder brake pedal.
A transmission like that isn't really used for a street car. They typically work best with a super lightweight flywheel and clutch that isn't good for street use. I've not driven one at race pace, but have tested the stock cars we work on to make sure they go through the gears. Once you get the timing they shift very quick and easy without the clutch and you aren't slamming things around.
