In direct seeding seed requirement is very less. Tillering will take place on 15 th day itself. More tillering will be their .Fertilisar use is less. This inturn cost of cultivation reduced.
I don't believe flooding rice fields is only option to produce rice. Rice is same type of plant as wheat/corn. Like rice, wheat also includes various species as part of the genus. The most common species of wheat is the common wheat or Triticum aestivum. The aspect of classification that rice and wheat share is the family. ... Wheat grains and brown rice are whole grains, while white rice is classified as a refined grain
Why is everyone complaining about roundup. These poor people: I wish they could use command and Valor, then maybe follow in with 24D, I have no idea how they expect to get good control with roundup as a burn down while using the rototiller. I mean you need stale seed bed for decent control. Maybe labor is cheap. To all the people on here complaining about Roundup, stop eating. We spray way worse stuff than that. Google up the MSDS on Lannate.
Another foolish way to force farmers into a cycle of debt. There are much simple direct seeding methods which mimic the way rice grows in nature. The method above could work for a short time, but eventually the soil will become hard and lose a great deal of nutrients
Why weedicides? Is it a propaganda of company product? Can we transform weed into bio resource? That is possible and can be done.We make the soil unfertile by using hazardous chemicals. But we cannot create soil.
I realize this comment was posted years ago. For anyone wondering, it's because direct seeded rice uses less water. Flooding prevents weeds from growing. Since direct seeded rice isn't flooded, it's susceptible to weeds.
Transplanted rice uses more water and more labor. However, the flooded fields also protect the rice from weeds. When there's not enough rain fall, some farmers resort to pumping the ground for water which uses fuel. Hope that helps anyone who's curious.
I believe this method would be the future of rice cultivation.
we can arrange in a good idea how to provide soil from poisoning
What about the productivity in comparison to transplanting. Also herbicides and its effects; long term and short term.

Seed requirement is high in DSR.
Which variety of seed is used ......I mean the name of the variety
Please what is the price of the cost of the direct seeded machine for rice planting.

This idea is good, but what is the production yield? You failed to mention that information.
Please mention various weedisides as well to be used as weed management is the major problem
where can i buy that machine
please tell us, how to buy this machinery
weed management would be an hassle
Thank you
Yes Without Hazards Herbicides and Insecticides, Can use REPELENTS

can you point the direction or names of such simple methods so i and perhaps others may learn
Any simpler ways that you know of?
