Super review. I have about 9 Stanley Tylon measures, most are now rusty, so I'm in the market for a new one. I use it daily (doing a self build). I wish they would make a high contrast measure with ONLY mm and not sodding inches!! That would be my ultimate. Also I'd like to have a measure without curved profile, obviously it wouldn't stand out on its own but useful for marking out sheet material where the curve makes it difficult to actually mark on a flat surface

some of them are printed also on the other side. you use the opposite side to measure and mark things

@@MVargabass ahh yeh so I found my ultimate tape measure in the end, it’s called the vica versa (UK brand), double sided and metric only. Really love it. In fact I’ve already worn it out and need a new one!

I can't see much the purpose of the added auto lock feature when you can just lock the tape and still be able to pull or push the tape for the desired measurement and still keep it firmly in that position. Or will this tend to damage the prints?

magnet on my fatmax fell off in the first week when retracting the tape measure and was never found
