Never played this. The first time I ever walked into a casino was to take my 80 year old friend. She gave me 80 bucks but said I had to bet it. I won 500 bucks that day. First played this some 15 years ago in the Niagara Falls in Canada, then when we (US), got our own casino. It's the type of game to play conservatively, and much patience. And we're lucky we only got one table to play on. Plus, they have very strict rules on 'showing' cards.

Ok for those that don't understand this game which is probably a lot of people paigow is a Chinese domino's game paigow poker is a card version. Your goal is to make two hands a 5 card and a 2 card you want both your hands to beat the banker it's called a banker not a dealer in paigow

This is what I wondered myself never played before so wasn’t sure but it seems that would have paid off more!!
I had the same thought (and a similar one on an earlier hand). Looks like in Pai Gow the joker isn't a true wild, it's basically an ace that can be used to complete straight/flush. But it can't be used to make trips or a full house (unless it can do that by being an ace).
That is a game I will never play to complicated and you have I think like good hands but they don’t pan out at least you guys had fun

Sucks on those Ace high pai gows! I always play that bet because it pays me enough / often, especially in those back to back hands. Recently hit an ace high for the dealer and quads in my own hand to pay me two ways! My second hand was Ah with Ah for an extra payday!

Ok, so you get 7 cards. You make your best 5 card hand on bottom, and two cards on top. With this face up version, you get to see how you can beat the dealer, so you make sure you can at least chop
I like PAI GOW it is a go to for table play that can be played for hours without losing the house and kids (joking, it would be wife). and this PIA GOW the dealer is even showing their hand; not all PIA GOW tables are played this way, mostPAI GOW tables I play the dealer does not show until after the players make a decision.

Yes. Foul set. Didn’t matter even with the correct set, still a push. J6 beats J5. The dealer probably didn’t say much as it was a push regardless. If it would have been a dealer J6 or J7, dealer probably would have did a reset of moms hand and took her money.

The second “full house” is 4 kings the joker counts as a king.
Nope. The joker is an ace or can be used to complete a flush or a straight. Cannot be used to make 4 of a kinds unless it’s a 4 of a kind Aces
Wish you would have told mom to up her bonus bet, even just to $10! She was hitting it so often she would have won way more!! Next time.

At 2352, doesn’t matter much here but mom fouled the set. She can’t break up her pair high hand of just queens to beat the dealers low. She still pushes with J6 on the low.
If the dealer had j6, the dealer probably would have did a reset and your mom would have lost the hand.
So close to a straight flush. Ace high bet denied and player and dealer both have Ace high, and cost a $1k, ouch.

If you’re looking to make a quick buck and thinking paigow is the game. Your wrong.
This game is more pushes than anything but if the cards are cold, you can lose a lot of money real quick.
If you don’t like playing bonuses on tables then don’t bother with Pai Gow because the bonuses are where the money comes in. Just playing the hand is ok but you are competing and have to beat 2 hands. Thats why you see a lot of pushes

Strange watching the dealer..most of she puts the cards down on the two spots by your mom. Then herself.. then the two by you then you and your mom but then she switches it up by her cards first then the whole table.. seeing a pattern .. watch the table and the dealing there is a pattern😂😂😂
