You've had such an awesome year in study! So awesome to see you proceeding with Chinese towards speaking, all the books you've read in all languages, and starting the linguistics study which I would also find SO interesting.
I decided to do a short recap here, inspired by your video! First I have to say a few things you've taught me since I found your videos in September... I've learnt to celebrate my achievements more, to be kinder to myself, to count passive study more in my achievements, and to stay passionate about what I study! I think the first two allow the fourth, so this works well. I've been watching Erin Smith (journaling) on youtube a lot too and she's taught me similar things - to be kind to myself, allow mistakes and imperfections and show how fun and pretty things can be when I do that. My weekly plans have become so pretty since I followed her and you, and now they bring me so much joy and inspire me to study way more!
I started structured study in September. Since then in Chinese I have learnt all vocab from HS2 and gone through three chapters with my teacher. I've also learnt a few lessons in how to study Chinese, and have added in some passive watching on youtube. I've also watched some more Chinese shows (I am bingeing Fangs of Fortune right now and I am obsessed). In Japanese I've revised up to Genki chapter 7, done the workbook for those chapters, and added in story reading finally to my achievements. And in Norwegian I've read three books (!!) which is massive for me as I struggle to make the time to read, and revised up to half way through my Ny I Norge textbook, got all vocab for those chapters, and started outputting writing to chatGTP for corrections.
And overall, I've been perfecting my weekly plans since I started this, so it's been so interesting and productive to evolve that and see how I can get it to work better!
Mammoth comment lol. Thank you for all your amazing videos and all your work, editing is no joke and you work so hard on all this - I appreciate it so much!! Here's to another year of recaps, study plans and being passionate about what we all love :D
