    I woke up this morning and it was this hymn that came to mind, i came to TH-cam with hopes of finding it, and i did! One of my many favourites..my favorite line.."let me not unheard depart!" is my prayer. I can listen to it all day, with tears of joy trickling at times. pondering about this thing called Life! May my mother who departed a year ago next Sunday, my father who departed 30 yrs ago, my lovely grandmother whose name I call daily, and all the hosts who taught us hymns and prayer RIP!

    OML! I am so blessed this morning listening to this beautiful hymn played " Master Speak Thy Servant Hearth" I woke up singing this song from the beginning of this week and l just can't stop from singing it! I've been spending some quality time with my LORD just to hear what He has to say to me. I kept saying: " Lord, I want to hear your voice, I want to know that it's you when you speak to me" I want to stay in your presence" Then this song came along. I have not heard this song in years. Many churches don't use/ sing these powerful and comforting hymns like they used to in the past. I was scheduled to lead the service last night, at my church. Just before I had introduced the speaker, this was the hymn I sang. Thank you so much for sharing.

    An Awesome hymn...played so beautifully.
    I sang this hymn for decades during moments of consecration. The Word of God in song....most Traditional hymns , will speak to our hearts. Reminds me of church services, Wesley Methodist Church, Nassau Bahamas.
    It's not until after we have lived for a while when we come to understand why our parents kept us in the House of Worship.
    Blessed is The Nation Whose God Is The Lord!
    To God Be The Glory!

    Chi's, I must commend you for playing such a beautiful hymn on the pipe organ. WOW! Excellent sound of music. Listening to you brought back so much fond memories in the Charles Wesley Methodist Church in Eleuthera when the choir would March up singing this song just before the spoken Word. Great job!
    God bless you!!!!

    Master, speak! Thy servant heareth,
    Waiting for Thy gracious word,
    Longing for Thy voice that cheereth
    Master, let it now be heard.
    I am list’ning, Lord, for Thee;
    What hast Thou to say to me?
    Often through my heart is pealing
    Many another voice than Thine,
    Many an unwilled echo stealing
    From the walls of this Thy shrine.
    Let Thy longed-for accents fall;
    Master, speak! and silence all.
    Master, speak! though least and lowest,
    Let me not unheard depart;
    Master, speak! for oh, Thou knowest
    All the yearning of my heart.
    Knowest all its truest need;
    Speak! and make me blest indeed.
    Master, speak! and make me ready,
    When Thy voice is truly heard,
    With obedience glad and steady,
    Still to follow every word
    I am listening, Lord, for Thee:
    Master, speak, oh, speak to me!
    Speak to me by name, O Master,
    Let me know it is to me;
    Speak, that I may follow faster,
    With a step more firm and free,
    Where the Shepherd leads the flock
    In the shadow of the Rock!

      Kwasi Ofori: Guten Abend, Elvis. Vielen herzlichen Dank für deine Schreibung. Spielst Du wirklich bei der ghanaischen Kirche in Stuttgart? Ausgezeichnet!!! Ich hab' einmal in Frankfurt am Main gelebt und studiert. Aber jetzt wohne ich in New York fast 20 Jahre schon. Viele Grüße an die Chormitgliedern und den Pfarrer. Wie lange spielst Du schon bei dieser Kirche? Ich besuche Deutschland oft. Vielleicht werden wir uns bald sehen. Vergiß nicht, je mehr man spielt desto besser wird ihn. Schreib mal wieder. Bis bald... Viele Grüßen aus New York City.
      Chris...

      Hallo Chris, das ging ja wirklich schnell mit dem Rückantwort, vielen Dank dass Du zurück schreibst. Ja ich bin Mitglied der PCG Resurrection Congregation in Stuttgart, Teil der PCG Germany District, und bin eigentlich erst seit 2 Jahren Organist für die Gemeinde, hab früher Schlagzeug und bisschen Bass gespielt aber da unser Organist weggezogen ist, habe ich mich entschlossen dies anzueignen da Organ sehr wichtig ist für die Kirchenmusik und ich gerne neues lerne, vor allem für Gott. Da ich keinen Mentor habe, bringe ich mir alles selbst bei, mit viel Fleißarbeit d.h Theorie pauken , üben, üben, üben, TH-cam Videos usw. Inspiration hole ich mir von Leute wie Dir, das ermutigt mich weiter zu machen um besser spielen zu können. Mit Gottes Hilfe klappt es auch einigermaßen gut aber hab noch viel vor mir;-) Ich bin auch ab und zu geschäftlich in NYC, meistens nicht so lang aber vielleicht reicht es für einen Treffen mal? Aber bestimmt kommst Du eher nach Deutschland als ich rüber da ich nicht weiß wann ich wieder muss. Frankfurt ist ja nicht weit von Stuttgart, Ich würde Dich sehr gerne mal empfangen wenn Du in der Nähe sein solltest. Email: elvis.ofori.owusu@gmail.com
      Stay Blessed,
      Elvis

    Chris, whenever Charles Wesley wanted to evangelise to certain groups of people, would he write a hymn to tunes they knew well and using words related to them as well?

    Chris, wonderful playing! Are your recordings free to use for worship (not commercial purposes) in a small church? We are learning to sing the Psalms and would love to use this for Psalm 51!

      I have been listening to yours all day. This is what my Dad loves most, hymn books and an organ. He was called to Rest in the Lord 23 years ago today! He would have loved listening to you as well. You just brought tears to my eyes. Thanks for all the good works Chris. God Bless
