This is amazing!!! Let me look up retiring in Bangkok... I'm shook. Thank you for this!!!
lol
"Ain't nothing free BUT God's Love!" Now ain't that the truth! Thanks for the breakdown. Bangkok is doing something amazing in your life! You look fabulous!
One thing about Bangkok is if you want affordable you can have it but also if you want luxury you can too. It’s all on how much you’re willing to spend here in Bkk . I love it
Wow! You got me wanting to move out of the US, we are getting robbed here. I love watching your videos. Thank you for sharing
You can do it!
I guess it’s official. I’ll be leaving the states. That’s awesome. Thank you for being transparent with us.
you got this!!!
Thanks Antoniette for the Buget breakdown. It really helps to give us an idea if one can afford to live there for a few years or so. Especially if you're on a fixed income and want to live abroad.
But I also love hanging out with my peeps 😂
I'm so glad it helped, Joy
Girl, that low-cost living is what I miss most about living in Thailand. 7-Eleven is that thang over there! 😅 We used to use the Grab motorbikes, too, when we traveled, but in our own "hometown," we had our own motorbikes. Thanks for sharing your budget with us! 😊❤
How long did you stay in Thailand? How were you able to extend your stay longer than the two-three month stay as a tourist?
@aminaaminat8378 I was there for about 4-1/2 years teaching ESL. We had work permits that were good for the length of our contract, which was one year, renewable annually. We were required to check in with immigration every 90 days.
@@kellonwheelz_66 Thank you! I have my ESL Certification and haven't began teaching as yet. I obtained it during C-19. My major is in English Literature...2 years done, thus far. Is it true that you no longer teaching in Bangkok? What's the going contractual rate these days for teaching ESL in Thailand? Did you enjoy it? What did you like & dislike?
I am so proud of you beautiful lady. I started traveling at age 20, and I always worked with computers and teaching English to Spanish speakers in Chicago. I am 82 now and travel has always been my love. Stay blessed always.
$2,000 usd a month is good enough for me to have a good life there since i am not into bars clubs alcohol or girls. But i enjoy travel and going to restaurants.
I’m one of those who asked the budget question on Instagram. Very pleased to see such a transparent breakdown, as well as a look at the software you use. Thanks!
Now, this at 8:57 had me rolling 😂 It is meme-worthy!
I'm glad it helped
Even 1500 is more than enough to live in a nice condo and eat very good
Thank you for taking the time to share this. Seriously. It gives us all a peek behind the curtains. xoxox Counting the years, months, days, hours & minutes to my retirement from corporate life.
I absolutely adore you for sharing your beautiful journey. Thank you for lifting the veil and being a living example of “living your BEST life.” 💜
Wow oh wow!! That's awesome! You are definitely selling me on moving out the States.
I really love and appreciate your breakdown. A lot of TH-camrs give the bare bones budgets. And I get it because they are trying to show how cheap it can be. But I'm interested in moving away because I have a lifestyle that I want and can't afford here in the US. Thanks for showing us at every level
I'm glad it was helpful for you.
I agree that it won’t be as high. You just moved in and you needed things. Your hair is so beautiful.
Yess. Thanks for the validation lol
Thank you.I think you gave enough info on your monthly expenses so people can get a general idea of some cost there.Wow! It is so much cheaper than the US. I kept saying What?! out loud.
You are so welcome! and yes so much cheaper
Udon suk is on the BTS line about 5 stops away from Asok you can get an accommodation for 200 US dollars less and it’s very a very nice neighbourhood I have stayed in Thailand for about £1200 per month and really ate well I like the BTS lovely video I use to eat for about 300 thai baht per day and I really ate well fruit coffee I prefer the coffee outside than Starbucks
I just LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!! Been with you when you was a Flight Attendant…till Luxurious Van Life and now Bangkok
Awwww. Thank you!!!
I’m just now getting my Passport and I will be traveling myself so.. I can’t wait… Hello Mom 👋🏾
Hello. I think you did very well with your expenses considering all the extras you had with your hair, face peel, eating out and travel. I do plan on visiting and staying in Thailand for 6 months or a year so your monthly expenses does help me to plan mine. I live very minimal so my expenses would be a few $100 dollars less. Thank you for sharing your experiences and expenses.
Oh thank you!
Super informative, thanks! It's definitely less exspensive than vanlife, we paid $890mo for Oasis luxury RV parking in Las Vegas.
Youre most welcome
Girl laughing with you at that cooking thing. Thank you for showing how much LESS things costs outside of the states.
Youre most welcome
Wow, that is great! I’m really loving this part of your journey . You are a very strong and brave woman who I find very inspiring I wish I had someone like you to look up to when I was young. I must say if I wasn’t old with health issues, I probably would try moving there, which is all the more reason that I appreciate your sharing with us. I really do look forward to these videos. I wish you much love and happiness in everything you do thank you again 💕😍
This is Gonna b so Insightful AY🔥🔥🔥👍n Happy Wednesday😀….
Great video. Very informative
Thank you for giving us an idea on how much it can cost to live in Bangkok. It seems cheaper than when you lived in the van. May you please do this again in March for your January expenses? I think this will give us a clearer picture. I also don’t cook so I’m excited about how cheap it is to eat out in Bangkok.
Can you do a video on how you obtained a Visa or the process of becoming a full-time resident in Thailand. ❤
Best monthly budget I've seen so far
Thanks for coming by!
I love Bangkok, Thailand. How were you able to obtain extended length of residency -- typically two to three months stay is allowed?
I guess Americans can stay 3 months without any problem and renew it I think, it is the case for the EU!
Was about to hit the sack but noooo! I'm closing with Antoinette. Thanks for the insights and looking forward to visiting S.E. Asia this year, still undecided between Bali and Bangkok but your videos are making my decision more clearer. Thanks girl 💕💕
lol Thanks for coming back, honeyyy!!!!!
Love your content, I am planning to go to Thailand in October any good suggestions would be great!
Hello. I will be visiting soon. Can you send me info on what outlet I will need while traveling to Bangkok for phones, curling iron ect. Thanks
If you havent been here yet or gotten the answer you can use your U.S. outlet.
12:40 I know that’s right! 😂 treat yourself! Your monthly expenses in Bangkok is cheaper than some people’s monthly RENT in America especially in in California where I live but I know you know that already 😂 You go girl 🎉
I'm moving in Bangkok in mid march and hope that I could keep the the same budget than yours. All the best .Christine
Hey girl, I'm moving out there in August. Where did you get your hair braided?
Very cool! Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful video 👍🏾 Well explained . Thanks for the insight ✅
Thanks for watching!
Oh my gosh, if I was single, I would be over there too😊
Here for it 😊
Your monthly travel is not bad, you pay that much in NYC for delayed trains, busses that do not come on time, and canceled services do to repairs.
Thanks that was very nice pretty thorough and gives me a good idea. I plan to move to Bangkok in June 2024.
Do you mind sharing your condo rental term? Whats the least term for renting an apartment or condo there?
Another great video. Thanks.!❤
Thank you!!
I want to know who braided your hair, it’s beautiful
Great Video! So does your health insurance cover Pre-existing conditions? Also, do they have age limits on who can purchase a policy??
No, my international insurance does not cover pre-existing conditions. And I believe the limit is 40
@AntoinetteYvonne I got you that, and thanks for that info!
I LOOOOOVVVVEEEE your videos...the hubby and I are def thinking of doing at least a year in Bangkok...Have to visit first
Thailand is a BEAUTIFUL & PEACEFUL country...despite the occasional civil unrest...definitely unprecedent. Every country has their squirmishes.
thank you!!!
I'm loving your adventure. Bangkok is cheaper then us
That is amazing, like who did your braids and the price that is amazing. What is the name of the hair salon, and where do you get your hair products?
i love your video!!! sis, what work do you do for a living?
I am a full-time YTuber and Business owner of travel agency luxnomadtravels.com
thank you, i am checking out your website. and jm planning to move to Bangkok in like 6 months
That’s amazing 1,800 is what rest is genre in Texas for a nice apartment I’m moving especially after I know about safety Wing now thank you
Love it. You are very disciplined with keeping up with all that. BTW, just think about paying for Uber in that states, you’re winning!!!!!
Uber & Uber eats have taken so much of my money. lol. so Grab is def. refreshing
I enjoyed this vid. I like the Travel Expense program you used. Keep up the great work. You are living the dream most Americans cannot.
Thank you! Will do!
I need to move to Bangkok ❣️
Can't wait until I get grown enough to live in Thailand. Thanks for sharing
You can do it!
Girl, your monthly expenses are cheap! It's amazing how much cheaper it is to live there. I would order/eat out all the time too!

This is why i've been telling people here in the UK for year that south east asia is the one. I loved thailand when i went x2.
I'm hearing god things about South America to if i'm being honest so might visit there next for a few months.
I love that you are a foodie.
I love your videos! Very helpful🥰
Thank you so much!!
I am moving to Thailand in April and I am scared now lol thanks for videos
May I ask, how is trash handled, is it included in the rental cost? Sorry, can you flush toilet paper? Can you drink the water? Do you have hot water in your apartment? I was considering Panama, but Thailand sounds more interesting.
There is a trash room on each floor, that i take my trash bags to. and i do flush toilet paper down my toilet (public restrooms not so much). I don't drink faucet water, no. Hot water in shower, yes.
Thank you for this informative video. Blessings to you in Bangkok!!!!
You’re about to make me move to Thailand!!!
You got this!!!
Very informative video! Thank you for sharing 💛
Thanks for your video ✊🏿
Youre most welcome
Thank you for sharing ☺️
Great cost of living
Thank you
pauseeee girl who did those braids!?
dang... is my pension of $1468 enough to retire in Bangkok? Thanks
It's enough for however you want to live. You can budget however you like. Only you would know if it's more than enough or not.
What do you do for work ?
I just left Bangkok 1/31/2024 I truly can move their
I love it, where do I sign up 🤣😂🤣😂🤣🙌🏾
I actually need travel insurance but want to support by using your link. I can't find the SafetyWing link in the description. Am I missing it? Thanks
Hi

Thanks!
Very interesting! Tfs!
Thanks for watching!
Thank for for the great info; Is the conflict between the U.S. and China or the war so close with Israel and those place surrounding it not a concern? I would think it would be too close for comfort.
Do you know the rules about keeping pets in your condo? I wouldn't want to part from my fur babies
All the condos will have their own restrictions and will state no pets. MOST condos do not but it is possible.
What is the visa situation out there for people who want to stay long term?
Yeah how is Zion? Is mom keeping her up ...thanks for the cost in living beyond tje norm you have made a fantastic choice blessing to you 🙏🏽💪🏽✌🏽☝🏽💚💛🖤🌿💜❤️🧡🤍. Keep it coming
Wow, that is soooooo amazing
Btw her budget isn't even the low end for Thailand, you could do it on less than $1k if you don't go out that often tbh.
It’s so crazy how cheap it is in others places.. I got injured at work and unfortunately after 12 surgeries and needing 2 more I’ll never be able to go back to what I use to do and unfortunately for those who have gone through this I live in a state where you can’t sue nor do there care about your long term loss of income power , It’s basically your as healthy as we care to get you here’s a check that might cover a year or two of loss income now go get Federal Disability Benefits ( Get those benefits even though no one tells you disability goes off the last 10 years of employment so if you wait and wait because you are thinking you may get better and don’t file for 8 years guess what now you are left with 2 years of income to claim.. I’m writing all this because when you go from 6 figures a year down to 1800 per month you have to try and figure out how the heck you are going to survive then you see videos like this with the cost of living being so cheap you start to think I may not live like I use too but dang I could at least be a little comfortable make you think should someone in my position do this ? would I be allowed? How long are you allowed to be there ? Etc etc
"when you go from 6 figures a year down to 1800 per month you have to try and figure" THAT PART! I know too well.
Do you pay the Government rate for electricity or does the condo charge you extra
I pay directly to the government
What about cell phone and internet?
What program are you using?
Hi. I've explained it in the video. You can find link in description
Think of how much you could save if I moved in with you and paid the rent.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
So based on your budget, as someone who lives in Italy, that's slightly more than the average single persons budget in Italy minus the medical which is free and I basically do my own hair, nails and basically cook at home 95% of the time and don't eat avocados because they are just too damn expensive. In many ways I thought it'd be cheaper than Italy ( I know with the American dollar it's luxury) but there are pros and cons to both Italy and Bangkok. I'm considering living in both Italy and SE Asia with my husband during the warmer weather half the year and also for the cheap massages and avocados (lol) .. but this is very insightful. Thank you so much girl, I'm one of those that asked on IG about budget
Where are the beaches in Bangkok and how far are they from where u live plz
Bangkok is a city, so unfortunately there aren't any beaches in bangkok. Its all out of city
@@AntoinetteYvonne thank you very much
Though I am grateful for your information, personality and attention to detail, I'm really only watching this video because you are ridiculously beautiful.
So nice of you - for whatever reason youre here, i am grateful. Thank you.
I live in the uk and my rent is 525 for a two bedroom flat 200 a month on food 150 on electric and gas and that’s without going out or doing anything nice why is only Thailand cheap why are the states and uk expensive xx
I live in the south of Thailand. I'm 70. I run my AC 20 hours a day. Electricity $70. Car insurance $8 a month. Gasoline $60. Water $2. Internet $12. Garbage $2. Flip phone 70 cents. My house is paid for. My bills total $155 a month. I eat out a lot, so my food bill is $145. So, I'm spending $300 a month. If you want health insurance, add $100. I don't like Bangkok. It's a rat race. My new Bangkok studio with AC was $100 in Bang Kapi.
Hi, I’m 53. What places would you recommend aside from Bangkok in Thailand? And is there less pollution and heat in your location?
@@auntielu4394 Hello Auntie Lu. The air in Bangkok is pretty bad. My son had asthma and had to use an inhaler, but when we moved south he didn't need it anymore. The mountainous area in the north is much cooler. I have never had a jacket here, but up north is cools off at night.
I was adopted from Bangkok, Thailand and so far I've learned about my native country from white and black people 😂😂😂. Thank you. I don't even speak Thai
Hi how big is your condo?
Whats the name of your favorite co-working spot?
