Phew. I’m preparing to dip my toe and publish a children’s chapter book. After watching umpteen vids on the task ahead, it was great to find yours bundled nicely and without the side stories and elaborate explanations. The tool is simple enough (?), I just wanted to see and hear someone use it. You covered a lot and without fuss. Appreciated greatly,
I just submitted my FIRST ebook. Thank you so much for these videos. As an accountant, I had zero knowledge of how to do this. But your step-by-step instructions made it so easy. Thanks again!!
OMG! You don't know how much you've helped me. I've spent hundreds of dollars on paying people to do it. I'm already self-published on Amazon, but I am so happy that I have a direction. I'm going to try it for the book I just finished. Thank you so much!

Thank you for very helpful information. I created a novel in Scrivener and then uploaded a pdf to KDP for a paperback. Now I am going through it again to make a kindle book.
Stephanie, excellent video. I did not see much about Kindle Create and thought perhaps it was gone. Fortunately, it is alive and well! Just published my first eBook using your succinct video as my step-by-step guide. Will follow shortly with the paperback version. Thanks so much for all your help!
Oh my goodness, you saved me hours of work! I thought I'd lost an hour formatting and would have to start all over again with a new Word file until I saw you talking about the front and back matter.
Excellent tutorial! I normally just use the PRINT REPLICA and take a PDF convert to KPF and upload the ebook. Usually my books are already formatted into a PDF and I need the KPF file for the eBOOK. Thanks so much!
Your videos are so clear and precise, other similar themed videos, often times the person narrating them tend to babble on about nonrelevant information which just creates more confusion. My last two books were published using a 3rd party publisher, lots of fees, and then they want to continue to sell you 'promotional stuff', after milking you to publish book, nah, I've had enough of that so will give Kindle direct publishing a try this time. And can also see sales in real time rather than depending on sales to show up on Publishers site which can really lag in real time, and make you wonder if they're even reporting your true sales or not. All that being said, my next book will be published on Kindle, which is wonderful, cause it's free! You don't have to pay a publisher $3-800 dollars and then hope to earn that money back through sales, that's a losing proposition for newer Authors, you simply end up paying for their kids' college tuition by doing it that way..lol. Anyways, thanks for your easy and precise 'how to' video, they really put me, and I'm sure others, at ease.
Great video. It has been 2 years since I last published on Kindle and after I just finished writing my 2nd edition in Word, I have become rusty on how to upload to Kindle again. I also LOVE the fact that I can use the same file to publish the print version. Thanks so much.

@@thelifeofawriter Thank you so much for replying:) Unfortunately not. I keep saving my manual changes, but it looks like the content can't be saved, at least not the deletion of hyphens. I have asked a friend of mine if she could try on InDesign, hopefully KDP is ok with epub? I've heard they preferred Kpf format. Other than the hyphens, the rest is great.
I've never seen that happen. It may be inserting the hyphen because of the length of the word. You can determine if that's true, by hitting return write before the word with the hyphen. If it drops down to the next line and removes the hyphen, then this is likely why that is happening.
